Fuel I drained was pretty bad, just real dark. I am not even sure how long it has been sitting. I have had it for 4 years and the last reg tag is 2005.

Cutting the top open today and will see for sure. Got 10 gal fresh gas and a couple filters.

I think JR is referencing the steps coming down into the front porch from the sidewalk?

Yep

Didn't even know it was there, thought it was a continues wire.

So this thing cranks good, has spark but not firing. I am checking wires and jumping this and that. It starts with a squirt of either, promising!

Clean up under the dash, jump the fuel pump but nothing. Figured it was the pump but make sure it has juice first. Clean the ground follow the pump wire and right past the axle power is gone, hmm. Start feeling around and I find this;

Funny thing is it looks clean like it just came unplugged. Still have to change the pump but at least I have power to it now!

After all that work and you’re too lazy to drop the tank?

Yes, and you know what carb/epa can do. Not that they don't have a place, just not on my shoulder.

After moving all kinds of stuff around. I finally got it opened up to do the fuel pump.

Drilled a hole in the center to check what looked like the right spot and will open it up to 8in square.

There are wires all over this darn thing! 1/8 drill came out almost dead center  :beercheers:

Have I said how much I hate drum brakes, well changing them at least. But they are done!!

Axle looks good under there, Sub sits nice and the wider axle lets the tires sit even with the sides, how it should have been made.

Cleaned out the master and gravity bled the new brakes. New cylinders little more paint and a few nuts and bolts.

Got the rear cleaned out and put some in Spartan and some in the Elky. I have way to many parts floating around!

My wife puts things in the garage literally. Just throws it out there and put it away. Then they complain they can't get to thing when I throw it in the little garage.

I wish drinking did help, but it feels good.

Thx Shawn, I like trucks to ride like a truck too. Another reason to go with leafs. If I want foofoo, I will get a Denali,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Plus with your background, maybe you have done this once or twice.

How about some input here guys as I throw a few things around. 1500 is about done and will have Spartan to drive during this.

Now I can do leafs or coilover, cost is about the same (read below). I will buy some brackets but most will be DIY. Plus the idea is to keep it around a 6 inch or less lift for my 37s.

Coils are more work but should ride better, allow some adjustability both in height and can be rebuilt. Bilstein came out with a new 60mm coilover they say will handle an SAS. (#33-225616) Have to get shocks anyway so stepping to coilovers is like buying custom springs. It would be radius arm, not 4 link.

Leafs will be much easier, really more time removing the IFS than building the setup. I may loose some turning radius most use the 32.5 over the 36.5 axle I have. Many of the kits are for a 38.5 axle so radius may not be a big issue at all.

Actually, you do have the right of self defense and you do not have to back down from an encounter.

I will not go to SF for anything, I hate even driving through it.

If they tried the goings on here like is going on in Portland, there might be fewer protestors if they try to pull me from my vehicle.

I want to see how this works but it would not work here just for getting the wood all the time.

Seeing the pipe in the attic, will that be supported somehow? A lot of weight there with water in there.

Getting there pretty nice. I was thinking of building the slide for the exchanger the same way as you posted.

As a thought, have you thought about using quick disconnects on the lines for maintenance? You could secure the lines better and still have access. It is low pressure so the only issue would be flow.

Yep, looking good but I agree with the bracing. Even a small cable "X" along the sides will do so much and you know you are going to load it up!

So when is the web site going to be up? Looking for a few things for the SAS as I finish the sub.

Used the scaler for those hard to get to parts, worked great (as I said, I cleaned to much)

Old brake lines worked fine. Fuel pump is bad, tried to jump it but nothing. Getting this running should up the $$ some for sure! Going to cut a hole vs drop the tank, just seems easier.

Paint the hood black, use bedliner under the side trim and TSC desert tan for the rest. Should look good!

6787
Humane is the best, for both the above picture and the dog.

He should get 2-3 more pics, should be great. They won't like it.

Cleaned, painted and installed. Did way to much cleaning for a flip, but thats me.

Getting the drums turned and had to get longer lug nuts for the 14mm studs. Drive line matced up to boot.

Got another interested in it and the guy at O'Riely's turning the drum said I should ask more.

Didn't figure any inspection.

6795
My opinion. Don’t wait for it to happen again. If you don’t think reason or logic will prevail. It’s much less suspicious for the dog to make an exit now.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some TRN logic there. Sure you don't to upset someone who has brought you in. However safety over rides feelings often. If it disappears right after something happens there could be some issues. If it just disappears, it's where is the dog?

6796
God luck Jon. It would be on a leash at least, good compromise.
