Title: Trappistes Rochefort 10
Post by: TexasRedNeck on April 19, 2017, 07:38:52 PM
So a guy at work complimented a tie I was wearing one day.  So I took it off and gave it to him thinking nothing of it.

He wrote me a nice note and left a bag on my desk that had two of these beers in it. He is a beer aficionado and these are his favorite beers.

Now me, I'm just a redneck from texas who drinks Budweiser not bud light. So I was prepared to be unimpressed by the somewhat Euro trash look. I have to say a very rich creamy caramel flavor. And to boot it has 11.3% ABV. It's a Belgium quad and has a thick creamy pour.

Worth a try if you can locate one.

I has this exact stuff when I was in Europe.
Couldn't remember the name of it. Now I have it.
I'll say it was fantastic as well.

Could get expensive for me if I can locate some more.

I too am just a redneck that drinks bud light over bud. Can drink it all day as opposed to its big brother. Some days this is an important thing...

I think its 7-8 buck a bottle.  I can't drink more than about 4 beers.  Then i have to move to brown water to avoid complete bloat

Sounds about right.
I think I paid 5 euros or something like that.
I'm ok with a few extra bucks here and there when it's worth it.
I've got a few others to try that followed me home too.
