You'll need to add 2nd 100 amp battery and good heavy cables and dc to dc charger to keep the batteries charged, 400 watts of solar will help a lot but with DC ref, you're going to be using more power every day. We did Michigan to Arctic Ocean in 17 with a popup truck camper, Truck Campers are the only way to see Alaska! You can get to so many more places it's mostly State or Federal land so if you see a 2 track down to a river most of the time you can camp there, we found lots of dry camping in Canada and Alaska!

I had similar on my 08 turn the key off and it would run on for 1-3 min. the mechanic traced it to the trans. control module! I don't know how that could do it, but mechanic is a friend and it's never done it again. So if the key doesn't do it maybe look that way.

That WFCO will charge the battery's but they're not known to be the best on the battery life. Something like Progressive Dynamics has really good units, better charge profiles, also look to the future for Lithium Battery's the price keeps coming down and you need less batteries for the same capacity.

We're on our 4th rv 3rd 5th wheel. now that it's Me and the Wife you don't need the biggest 5th wheel Floor plan is what matters for how are you going to travel and where are you going to camp? If you're going to boondocking much the you want an rv fridge unless your going solar and big battery bank. outdoor kitchen is nice but we wanted rear living room for the comfort and views, I just have a good grill and do all my cooking on that. Also a lot of the older state parks and national parks were made for smaller campers. We found a 2010 Carriage Cameo 32FWS it's no longer made but is perfect for me and momma, lots of storage and very livable for our long vacations. We're going to add solar and Lithium batteries so we can camp any where. PS we also did 7 weeks in a popup truck camper with only a potty for at night so my wife isn't very high maintenance!!

Yeah we found a 2010 Carriage Cameo 32FWS that was like new and couldn't pass it up! I'm going to do a write up next summer when I do solar on it and get it all set for boondocking.

Get the stainless steel ones! I have the standard steel ones om my truck and they rust after a few years, but the work very well with my heavy 5th wheel and no bags.

My son got stopped by Mi DOT for that same thing, He had the work 07 Dodge dually and the 14000gvw bumper pull trailer. He got a ticket for no CDL because truck is 12,200 GVW and trailer 14,000 GVW so over according to officer. But!! truck is only rated for 22,500 CGWR !! Officer Didn't want to here it, and he only had about 2000lbs on the trailer at the time!! So he had to go to court with the owners manual and the Judge threw it out at least his Boss supported him and went to court with him and was going to par the ticket if they didn't throw it out. I'm all for use the work truck for liability reasons!!

This piece of work molested a girl that went to high school with my sons, her father spoke at the sentencing. He's a retired Under Sheriff, he told him he'll find out what it's like on the inside!! And he hopes the guards keep him alive for a long time!!

Are the springs on top of the axle on your 5th wheel? That would give you the space you need or do a 3" lift camper, would also help going in and out of rougher camping spots,
