They were truly great. While it was in the shop, they did a sheet metal repair on the upper transmission door, replaced almost all of our ICS (Intercom) boxes, and swapped out radios we were having a problem with.And that's notable because back then the 160th was a totally classified unit, as in we did not officially exist. We had screaming eagle patches spray painted on the nose, but we weren't fooling anyone. With SatCom antennas on the roof, a whole suite of added radios, fast-rope rigs, added fuel tanks and crap like that everyone knew. And everyone hated us. We were the "Sugar Boys" of the Armee at that time and we had authority to literally just grab an aircraft from another unit. Imagine how that made everyone else feel.
