Thanks Don - All that is confirmed is that we have a contract on our house and have gone through inspection awaiting results.  We wrote a contract on a home to purchase day before the 4th and haven't heard other than they wanted to wait until YESTERDAY to respond......  Been scrambling to do what we can with no certain direction or firm new place to live!  I'll start a new thread to detail the entire story.......

To make this rant relevant here - I HAVE wanted to use a 1911 to leverage a DECISION or two.....

Cuda, you move this? You wonderful person, you!

Ma thread get unjunked? I'm going there to see. Man its a good day! :-))

Lol

Heck Don, I haven't seen this or many other threads in a month!  This house sell/buy/move aggravation and dealing with oxygen thieves during the process has sucked the life outta me!

Thanks to NATE for making Don happy, while making it look like I somehow performed this miracle!

When the proper ground work has been laid, ALL of the trials of growing up (physical, mental & behavioral) become more ripples than jarring bumps.  TRN is right, that first ride in the front seat makes you realize how fast time flies - and how little is left before they switch sides of the car with you!

Tex - looks outstanding on all accounts!  I agree that the rotation of the fridge into line with the sink/countertop will look/flow better.  You could put up a couple shelves and some coat hooks where the fridge now stands if you go that route.

Those slabs of wood look like they're really special and will make beautiful furniture when you decide what to use them for!

As Bear mentions, it's taking the thickness of the tooth away - might work for awhile, but seriously shortens the life of the chain.  Easy and convenient, but not a sound method I'm guessing.

Good morning gents-

Would appreciate your prayers on the topic of selling our house - went on the market last week Weds. and we're selling to move to an area with better schools for our daughter who starts High School in August.  Lutheran school for Jr. High, which have been outstanding.  Current house is in a less than stellar High School district with issues we aren't willing to make her suffer through - great kid who is ready well grounded faith wise and ready to experience a quality public school experience - faith into the world as well.  We won't be looking for a new place until we sell here, so the clock is ticking - we've been praying on it; just wanting a wider base of prayers.  Thanks!

Retiree honor day at work this morning - my department roasted me in front of the rest of the faculty, doing a "belt buckle" routine from that insurance commercial with the ever increasing buckle size "more" etc.  Pretty funny video cuts with different members sharing memories with buckles that kept growing.  I've got two large trophy buckles from the National Championships I won - Laughed hard enough for tears to run down my cheeks - pretty funny stuff; as if on cue, I wore one of the buckles and a pair of western boots this morning as well!  12 more days at work 'til freedom!

I have a problem I need to chase down. The battery keeps going dead, and it was new just a little while ago.

The battery charger cannot pump in more that 63% charge

I don't know what's causing this...

I vote leaking from your aux battery isolation get-up - don't know how or why, but that's my vote......

I don’t agree with Ken, no surprise there.....

But I don’t agree with you either really. Put enough air in them to keep the ride stabilized and move on.  :knucklehead:

OK - the fact that there's a compression on one side and a lift on the other, the compression will squeeze the air to the other, non- compressed side, then when one of them pops the whole thing deflates and Don heads for the ditch on that side of the road, ass end first rolling on top of the TacTopper2 and trapping the Pre-ranger sleeping in the back under spare parts, tools and a heavy wooden drawer unit.  I'd go with isolated fill lines......even if Hillary is Ken's girlfriend......consider the "Rule of Don" who's known to roll 4x4 vehicles on tank courses, injure oneself using too much throttle on a motorcycle and injure himself do to candy bar wrapper fires.

Powerplant, Driveline, and Braking / 2012 DMax P20B9 code
« on: May 08, 2019, 12:12:59 PM »
Hey there gents-

Well, MobyDick tossed the above code pulling from the street into the driveway yesterday evening.  I've paid previously to have "Reductant Heater A Control Circuit Open" fixed where they replaced the DEF heater.  $800 about 1 1/2 years ago in Arkansas.

Wondering the following and looking for contacts to go with the possible suggestions-

Would like to do minimal delete of the truck to avoid this crap and improve mileage.  Looking to keep it as stock as possible in the process as well, so that in the Communist State of ILLanoyed I could reverse if necessary for whatever reason!

Would like to get rid of the particulate filter and 9th injector (without destruction of either) and bypass the stupid DEF system.  Truck has power, and I'm satisfied with how it runs now (when it is) and etc.  Just would like to stop the damn regeneration cycles and the DEF system going to hell as it has twice now.

Any assistance and contact information of places to perform said work would be great - I'm also reaching out to Chevy Customer Care to see if/what they'd possibly do to assist.....HA, HA, HA....but I can dream!

Find someone local to refinance through - they know the area, are tied to the area etc.  If not, don't refinance and tie new debt to your house; go with outside/stand alone financing for the other stuff.  Sucks being out $ for something you didn't get worth from; chalk it up to learning and move forward from the bum deal.  Good luck - pray over your next course of action as well!

Best way to start a huge bonfire at an outdoor bachelor party- Gallon of gas poured on huge brush pile,  1/4 gallon of gas set 3 feet away, light candle behind 1/4 gallon - one well placed shot from shotgun from a suitable distance and BANG!  Instant blaze, no burnt appendages and lots of bugged out eyeballs magically return to their sockets amid laughter and another cold beer!

Anyone have to deal with an employee that just keeps breaking stuff? We have one hired man that is just so hard on stuff. He has trashed the pickup we gave him to drive. He is so paranoid that he is going mess something up that mess stuff up. In one day just hauling some trees that were pulled out of the fence line he managed to rip the filler neck out of the def tank, broke 2 hub caps, lost a mud flap and messed up 2 trailer lights. On a 2015 Kenworth. The list of machinery he is grounded form is growing. He better remove head from rear end or be looking for a new job.

Like we don't have people here on this site that are HARD on stuff!  Body Parts, Tractors, Chainsaws, Submersible Mowers, 4x4 Trucks loaned to little girls to drive.......the list is long and distinguished AND growing!

« on: April 17, 2019, 12:09:56 PM »
Please pass this along to him Don:

Andrew, thank you for your service to his Country and the sacrifices you've made in all of our behalf in protecting our Liberty and Freedoms granted us by the Constitution you swore to uphold and defend.  You put yourself in harms way and many citizens of this grateful Nation are in debt to you for that.  Please know that you are being lifted up in prayer by many of us here at RealMan multiple times throughout the day(s).

The only gift that I can bestow upon you that is worthy of the sacrifices that you've made, isn't even mine to give - Salvation through the blood of Christ - a free gift available to all who are willing to admit that we are a sinner, and accept Gods free gift of life everlasting.  One must only ask Christ to come into their lives, deliver them from their sins and accept his gift of salvation.  Life everlasting through Christ's redemption on the cross.  I suspect that you may have already done so, but it never hurts to remind ourselves of this glorious gift!

I pray that you find relief from all that troubles you and that our prayers for you, strengthen and bless you-  May you be lifted up upon the wings of eagles and soar free from pain and worry and hear the words directly from Christ, "well done, my good and faithful servant - rest easy, your watch is done."  For all that may be causing you worry - lay it at Christ's feet and release all stress about it - he will take care of it all!
