Rotated tires and changed oil in the wife’s 4Runner. The problematic pos plastic oil filter housing cap cracked (somehow I’m not sure) and it didn’t leak upon start up and checking oil level. Waited until I installed the bottom covers and backed it out of shop to dump 1/2 a qt on the ground. So trip to Napa to buy an extruded aluminum unit to replace the factory junk. Guess I’m glad it started leaking before driving down the highway.....

Put a second coat of gel stain on the trim around the front door.  Caulked and put a second coat of paint on the crown molding above the front porch entrance and then removed the four LED can lights and rattle canned them oil rubbed bronze.  Just about finished the complete front entrance make over.  Just have to urethane the door jam/trim and the stained bead board ceiling above the entrance. Then its on to painting the 3 sets of 5-0/8-0 double doors in the rear of the house....Got some new primer to try out on them.  It better be good.  It was $25 a quart.

Oh and then I cut the cord and went with a fire stick and YouTube tv. From $200 a month for satellite to $50.

I hate ATT and every since they bought directv I’ve been looking for an excuse to punt them to the curb.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Loaned a trailer out this last two weeks. Trailer came back in less then desirable condition.   Wet( yes it went snowmobiling some water to be expected) the tongue jack appears to be bent ( crank now hits the jack when operated) there are tie downs that were damaged/cut from the user. And a small panel removed on accident.

Not sure how to approach the bower about my displeasure.

It’s now in the garage drying out. Going never loan it again and start the build process to make it a camp trailer

You call the guy and say. Hey that trailer is all dried out now and in the shop. You can come over and fix it now. If he does then great. But I've been in a similar situation. I don't know the guy bet I bet he blows it off. Some sorry people have to ruin stuff for everyone.

Charles, we cut cord 5 years ago when we moved to CO. Never looked back, we do have a $30 antenna w/ a booster for local channels (maybe 20 or so) and then use Netflix and amazon prime account. Very happy not to be paying for stuff we don’t need.

Dave, my advice is that if the person who borrowed it is family or a good friend, keep it to yourself

If someone else, tell them exactly what you found, no embellishment and await their response. React based on their response trending toward learning a hard lesson (Suck it up)

Then

Do not loan your stuff out again unless you are willing to lose a friend, or drive a wedge into some relationship.

These things just never seem to turn out well.

They are friends.   I did tell him what I expected when borrowed,   I did speak on the phone today and none of my issues were anything to them.   So lick my wounds I guess, never loan my stuff out, the return it better than borrowed is apparently a lost life lesson

Going to start my build process on the trailer, make it usable for my family as it’s intended purpose, no one will be able to use it once all of our moto stuff is inside, and it’s converted similar to the pop top trailer Don is building.  Except four times the size lol

Sorry Dave.  That’s why I don’t loan stuff out I can’t afford or bear to lose.

JR I got all my local channels and the only thing missing from what we wanted, that we had, was the wife’s Lifetime Movie Channel.  Now she will have to watch them on YouTube to learn how to murder me in my sleep.

Loaned my old stick F250 to a Captain all weekend long so he could move

He did not put gas in it

Actually he said he did, said it was low when I gave it to him so he tried to bring it back at the same amount of fuel.

Some people just do not get it.

So far today I’ve neglected to latch the coupler on my trailer before trying loading my side by side, which resulted in a large dent and missing pain from a truck I’m trying to sell. Then around lunch time I ran over my browning a-bolt hunter and Leupold vx-2 that’s mounted on it. Thankfully the rifle and scope appear to be fine, although showing significantly more character than yesterday. The ford tailgate didn’t fair so well.

Sounds like you guys were doing recipe research for Big Nates Catering

Went to a Morgan Wallen concert last night. I think I’m getting old.

Light show was too intense for me. Bass was cranked like a rap concert. It amazes me how people litter the floor of the show. After the show the entire floor was littered with cans and cups.

Zane had a basketball tournament this weekend. Won 3 games lost 1. But it was only by 1 point and against the 4th graders. So Id say they did really good.

I had to take my turn working the concession stand. I think it fun and don't mind it at all. .

I do the straight on occasion. I’ve mixed rum with the Dr Pepper before. I love a knob creek old fashion. I have some hickory planks I use to smoke my glass and I like a lot of orange peel and specifically these cherries

We were on a Virgin Atlantic flight over the pond, sitting in the premium seats. Not quite first class, but they do know how to take care of their customers.

My hotel is about a three minute walk from the Tower of London. I’m hoping to get a good view when the queen has Harry and Meghan dragged in there for treason to the crown. ;)

So I’m really hoping it happens this week while I’m here.

This was an airbus A340-600. Seemed like it was about due for an interior refit(still had swayback phones with modem jacks), but it was clean, in good shape and comfortable.

4 engine...Gas guzzler, but plenty "O" safety over the big cold water.

...And a bit off subject, but did the Air Force decide to keep the B-52 an 8-engine jet or go to four good sized fans?

Talk I see is retire all but the H aircraft and refit with 4 RR engines. No engine overhaul for lifetime of airframe, same performance with 20% better economy.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
