I take a knee when I'm at church sometimes

I took a knee when I asked the prettiest girl in the world to be my wife

I took a knee too many times when we lost someone in the regiment or other places

Playing football at highschool level we take a knee when a player, either team is injured

I take a knee when stalking an animal and I get to the place where I'm going to take the shot

You try and enslave me, and I'll take you off at the knees.

I see some protester kneeling on my flag and I think I'll grab a hand full of hair from the back of his head, stand on one leg just behind the knee and allow him to reflect on his choices

Free men only bow by their own choice.

There are good reasons to take a knee, you named many of them and all show respect any good man should have.

TRN, thought you guys had a front coming in?

One more overnight stop tomorrow then headed home. The black hills are nice but I was largely unimpressed with Deadwood. It was nice and cool tho. Haven't used the AC in 3 days. Actually had to use the furnace. 38 this morning. Feels like temp was 34.

I found out that Leach camper sales in Lincoln is a horrible place to do business. They outright lied to me about multiple things. This is a used unit so I only got a 30 day warranty. Against my better judgement I purchased an extended warranty. I have contacted the dealer I always use to go through in Norfolk. I have an appointment Friday afternoon when I roll through on the way home. They are going to take a look and see if that particular warranty company is one they do business with.
These are the things I was told.
When I pointed out the date code on the tires was from 13. Salesman told me you can't go by that anymore because some tire companies use letters now.
One interior light didn't work. Oh we don't change light bulbs.
You have heated waste tanks. But you might want to make sure they work before you use them.
When I asked if they packed the bearings....you never have to do that. Just pump some grease in there once in a while.
We  had just spent 2 days cleaning out the old camper and already dropped it off.  Otherwise I may have walked away.

that's good to know... I have looked at and thought about renting a camper from them a few times.  I will now stay away from them and give my business to apache out on the southwest of town!  sad thing is, I have been seeing a lot better customer service and quality of workmanship from Omaha.  to me that is sad!

Made it home but had to leave the trailer at a repair shop. I stopped off at my regular camper dealer and they said they don't do frame work so I found a stock trailer-flat bed dealer. They are certified to do frame and axle work.

So what the deal is the shakels are welded to a square tube that is welded to the frame. The tube is bent and starting to crack. They are going to straighten it all out and weld in some gussets then put in some cross supports to tie the right and left sides together. They said there should have been cross bars in there and it looked like there may have been at one time but they are gone.  I could do this at the farm but if one of the welds broke and caused an accident I just don't want to put that on my guys. Its worth paying someone who is certified.

So today i decided to say FML and just go ahead and open up a can of worms that i tried SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard to ignore until we saved up the $$$ to have it completely rebuilt with composite.

This is going to take longer than i thought.  But in all honesty the stringers looked like they had 2-3 years left in them and am contemplating just redoing the top and sides myself????

And to think all i wanted to do was replace 5 boards that had some nasty rot starting.. :knucklehead:

So i am going to have to loosen the screws on those ones, rip the rest of the top off and replace them all with proper spacing  to help the water drain off properly.  I was just told to do as little as so it can last another year or 2, because the high 5 figure siding bill ranks higher on the must do list

 Mike

It is ground contact pressure treated and it has been and will be screwed into place.  The original deck has no spacing and it shows with the amount of rot in the wood, so even though the treated wood will shrink i want to make sure that there is enough gap to let the snow and rain drain off properly.

I usually just put a nail between the boards when laying them and then when they dry the gap opens up a bit

Up early (for me) to do the kitchen floor and entryway to the house in new vinyl while the wife and kids are in Tahoe for a couple days. (birthday present)

Just a temp floor as both are hideous (chunks out of the original kitchen floor vinyl and nasty square "moving" tile in entry) and will get a real makeover when I do the whole house and move the kitchen as planned later.

$1.49 special at HD, no underlament, snap in and done! Same type as used in upstairs.

Got the kitchen done before they got home. Need to address the closet trim and a couple seams is all.

Entry next week, much easier! No cleaning (kitchen was bad under things) and 1 big closet vs 2 cubbies and a pantry.

That looks nice!   :beercheers:

Since we have been doing more camping we are going through bacon like no other. I ordered a case of pork belly form the local grocery. 37 lbs. It took 24 hours to thaw. I cut it into 5 lb chunks. Refroze some and got some in cure right now.

Speaking of camping I have a update on the camper. They haven't gotten to it yet but I called the extended warranty company and that stuff is covered. Up to $2000. But, they need a estimate from the shop before work starts. It sounds promising that they will at least cover some of the tab.

Went to work. That's pretty much it, oh wait, I just ordered Chinese food since I have no urge to cook right now.

Been letting a grinding noise go for to long I guess

Driver caliper is stuck and now I have killed a killed rotor and pads.  Guess I know what I’ll be doing this weekend
