Afternoon. I’m not a ford guy but have always wanted a excursion, so I downsized from my new duramax’s and got a excursion to build out. So far: bds 8” sulastic shackles front and rear, studded, egr gone, 4” down pipe and exhaust, Pcv bypass, Odawgs intake, 40” maxxis, warn lockers, etc (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190806/4c8b3dba712305ad8247d967ae1750e8.jpg)
I’ll gladly help in any way I can if needed mechanically. My background is a ase master auto/diesel tech. Also I love making things that can’t be done doable.

That’s a sweet looking excursion right there! Welcome to the forum

How did this guy get through the screening process? First the Russians and now this guy??
Lol, welcome Jake.
I can vouch for his trouble shooting and wrenching skills. Bailed me out on more than one occasion.
How’s the quest for LEO coming?

Thanks Charles, going well and on schedule for next year December. Will be able to start that path with absolutely 0 debt other than the house/property we get next year.

Great to hear. There are more than a few here than have LE/Mil experience and would be willing to share their advice/experience.
Wing meet soon?

I’m always open to advice from experts!
I’m almost always in for a wing meet. You know my schedules open during the day for the most part.

Welcome, nice to see another Texan on here, but sounds like you already know Charles. A good wrench is a good thing on this site, Ken and others can use the help for sure.

I know a few guys from the duramax forum. I’m always open to help out.

Thanks Don, no problem at all and hope it helps. Let me know once you dig into it more, I’m very curious what it ends up being.

Welcome Jake!

Very clean work sir, you're welcome here, even in your Ford.
-
Welcome Jake! I recognized your username from DF as well.

Thanks y’all.
Well I think I have decided to do a coil spring conversion on the rig. I’m in the gathering/research stage still. Mainly need to find a donor axle.
-
I’ll bet you Shawn can give you some pointers. Unless you want a ready to install axle/kit, you can certainly weld the perches and radius arm mounts on to the existing axle.

I was trying to find a kit that allowed me to use my current axle and price it out that way and then price out a coil spring f250 axle.
