If your kennedy's are inop, that's the problem on a 500hp tune.. sounds like you're on the right track.

I've seen a few hoses collapse, the big one on the left valve cover and the ones at the filter. Last week had one come in that rubbed a hole in the hard line by the left valve cover. Wouldn't leak fuel but did allow air in.

Of course, even with only 3-4 psi from a small pump, none of those things will happen.
P.s. I've had a fass for 8 years also, but they don't make my version any more.

Not looking for a whole system, I have a filter. Just want a good pump. I have limited access with the titan tank down there.

Recommendations?

Welp. It finally started.
Not sure where I’ll get to this fall as work is busy as heck right now and winter is on the way.
A lot of concrete work before I can start the dome.

Wood fired pizza oven coming for next year anyway.

Pad placed a couple weekends ago, all kinds of rebar and mesh in it.

Blocks went up this past weekend. Was nice outside around 45-50. Perfect work temp in my mind...

Couldn’t find half blocks anywhere to save my soul, so forms and pour in place it was.

Four courses to take is to table height. More rebar in the voids and all filled full.

Next up how to float a ton of concrete 32” above grade. Top planning to be 40 x 48 sort of ballpark.
Time will tell. The real pain is having to haul gravel and sand from the mainland.

Kids had dress like your parents did in school day. I guess they got it pretty close. Too bad they didn't have time to grow a sweet mullet.

Dave, I don’t think I ever made a thread and it only looks like a pizza oven, sort of. It is complete now along with back patio. I can take pictures and give advice if you need. I’ve reworked it twice now I believe and going to fire it up tonight with some bourbon. This short week has been nuts.

I think i have gotten about 30 minutes to myself today.

I have had people here working on various things ALL DAY LONG starting at 0830 (they actually showed up early) and they are still here.

- Furnace humidifier work
- concrete quotes
- quotes on having 1 door taken off so they can level a slab in the back, put the door (and maybe a complete replacement) back on
- quote for a complete door replacement with storm door on the side of the garage
- radon mitigation got here at 1230ish and is still here (but that may be because i want the vent piping ran a specific way and location and not done half arse looking...lol

Took my last load of tree  from the 100mph storm we had Monday eve to the green dump.   Now to clean saws and put them away

Total of 9 loads I think between three houses and two dump trailers

Hurricanes are supposed to stay on the coast

Processed some 5.56 brass, cut down and hauled off 4 more trees to enlarge the shooting range. Installed some redneck lights on the outdoor kitchen along with a WiFi switch. Now trying a new bourbon.

Zane and I made up some fire starters of the cotton ball and Vaseline variety. They work very well. Zane had trouble with the ferro rod. I coached him some at home then I left him alone so no pressure. I stayed in hearing distance. I came back a few minutes later and he couldn't get it.  He was pretty defeated and feeling bad.  I just have a couple cheap junk Walmart rods. They are aluminum and just have a little strip to strike on. I need to get something better.

We were suppose to have a cub scout campout Friday night but with all the rain we just had a day camp Saturday. Made a solar oven and had smores. They also kick off the popcorn fund raiser sales today. They took away some of the best sellers. I suppose because of Covid.
I hate it when parents do this but I am going to throw it out there. If you want to help support our pack shoot me a message and I will send you the info to order online.

Jon, Frito chips can help start fires with the grease. Also look at a small signal mirror and use it to reflect the sun's rays.. It's not effective at night but it is another thing to throw in a pack, plus you can use it to signal for help.

As for the popcorn sales, I believe this week is payday, so I can probably send you some after I pay bills. You can donate the popcorn to someone or keep it.

I've seen videos but never tried it. They appear to be flammable by themselves.  High oil content.

Touch a match to them they light. Lots of grease.

Cardboard egg cartons filled with wax burn for an eternity.
Will start the toughest of damp firewood also.

Pack dryer lint in the egg carton, cover with paraffin and that candle will burn for for literally hours. we used them in empty tuna cans in igloo campouts.

I heard that there are so many synthetic fibers in clothing anymore that the dryer lint thing may not work as well as it use to.
Anytime I tried it worked just fine but my family wears a lot of jeans and t-thirts.

The trick with gas is you can’t wait to light it or...
Well Charles don’t use gas so he knows.
I have a 5’er of stale gas that I use.
Not nearly as volatile and a good use for it once it’s no bueno for motor use.

Frankly I’ll use whatever I have.
If it’s gas, my last pour is a safety trail to get me away from the dog that’s about to woof.

I really like the water sep drain valve in the bottom of my fass,  I’ll fill up a 20oz bottle and poke a little hole in the top and use it to squirt a little stream of diesel.    It’s not started me on fire yet

Trick with gas is use only a few drops if you need to. Then as said, light it right away. Look at the youtube vids how the fumes travel.

I used to much and was a fire fighter for around 20 minutes. I about collapsed after that incident (in my mid 20s)learning a huge lesson.

I recall an incident all too well of leaving a gas primed bonfire sit too long. My friend was lighting it and I was standing kind of behind and too the side of him. The sound was impressive, and turning around to run away and just seeing flames for about twenty feet was memorable. This was in the Air Force, he was out on profile for about 3-4 weeks because he couldn’t put his boots on, he had burns on his feet and legs. I was lucky and mine just looked like a good sunburn.  Crazy thing is, it took five matches for it to light, but when it did. Wow

Ordered a new lift pump for the DMax. Got the Dmax Fass lift pump only from Summit so it has a warranty. Seems the ones off Amazon do not.

I already have everything plumbed with a filter.

So you boys know the routine.  Yeah. I poured gas on it and went to light it only to notice the book of matches was empty. Ran to the house to get more. Vapors all hanging under the leaves now....

Woof is a good word to describe it. Neighbors from 3 houses down came outside to see what happened.

It was raining burning leaves. I looked like that cartoon image of singed face with white eyes blinking.

If I have to use gas now I mix a lot of motor oil in it but I always keep diesel around

Nice score JR

I also got a package today.

Unloaded the Lift today, almost slid off! Had to winch it off. The ol HF 2500# did a great job.

On the way back from the game Monday. Although Pre-Ranger is a varsity running back and other things, he had to fill in the roster for a JV game. He's only a 10th grader so the coach made him play. He played very little but did score the only TD. His sister who is a bit shorter (Yikes!) loves these games and her brother!!!

The Fritos are flammable by themselves or you dip them in additional grease Bobby?

They will burn themselves. It's just the oil that's on them from the process. One little Frito won't produce a bonfire but all it takes is a small little flame and if you're patient you can make help it along.

24 pounds of love in the smoker.

Another hour or so it should be done.
Wicked wind storm here today. We don’t usually get the big winds. 30 mph is a good one for here. We’ve been 30+ all day gusting to 50. Took boat out of water last night in preparation. It’s been in the lake since May, didn’t want to take it out but couldn’t dock it last night as this storm blew in. So o. The trailer it went. Lol.

I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Well it netted me 20 pounds. I’m happily in bacon for a while now.

WDYDT (What Did You Do Today)

Having a mental debat if I should put the two inch metal spacers in under these bags.  What do you guys think?

With the air 100% removed the truck doesn’t lower any.  With no weight on the truck

Updated photo from the forum that we shall not name, guys bags look like they are completely compressed as mine look fully expanded

I think I should put the spacers on.

Agree?

Yes to the spacers.

Nice Bacon Sam

Cool grandson Steve

Proud dad, Chief

No, I bought that cake from her favorite restaurant. The slabs of chocolate on the side where supposed to be vertical, but a 2 hour 130mile ride in the LB7 proved to be a bit much.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
