General Vehicle Related Discussion / Re: New Tesla« on: August 14, 2022, 03:41:26 PM »Just confirmed that comment above. Trip length of 3,800 miles at a cost of $350 of supercharger station recharges.I think the big kicker on Tesla ownership is initial cost, especially in todays continual increasing inflation world. A 72k car on 7 years at 2% (which doesn’t exist I don’t believe) is 920 a month. So the real cost is right at 1000 a month with electricity. You can get a Toyota Camry loaded for 40ish get 25mpg or so, at which point your cost is reasonable monthly. Which makes me think ICE is still more cost effective for most. It sure does suck having to pay 4.50-5$ a gal for foreign gas though. All that to say, I am simply waiting for the cyber truck to come out At which point we will consider ownership. And will drive our 74 dodge and 17 tacoMa until then most likely, maybe sell tacoMa for a duramax, we’ll see. 110

Nothing but run around, wildly varying prices online, in person or on the phone. Not a company I would care to try and do business with again.

Little late to the party, but sorry to hear a new solider gets to deal with a disgruntled staff duty because of the wuflu situation that has been mishandled and abused beyond reason. I don’t for one minute believe it had to be a Stewart medfac test. This most recent iteration of the moronic variant is running more rampant than any of the others. And from what I see by the units around, tests are tests, and positives are being treated like a plague patient, ie, stay away from work.
May Kat have a safe trip home, and the new soldier continue to be light in a dark tunnel that is today’s military. Hope he is feeling better. 124

Chief, first off, congratulations on raising sons who love our country enough to want to volunteer to serve. Many may think it’s not a big deal, and while it is just a choice, the military is quickly becoming unrecognizable to what all here have served in. Which makes that choice a HUGE deal. I for one am thankful to see good man continue to stand up for what we all here believe in. Thank you to you for instilling solid principles, and thank you to him for stepping up.

Chief,
I know the answer is no, but have you considered having a shop do it so you can just have a running rig in a couple months? Different note, are you intending on the factory gauges to work or are you going to run standalone? I would think you could easily install the 6BT and run dedicated 4l80e computer instead of reprogramming suburban computer which would result in a drivable suburban in shortish order. Maybe I’m just oversimplifying it though. Controller like this maybe? https://www.hgmelectronics.com/4l80e-transmission-controller/ We Have wanted to put one on our power wagon since beginning of build…. Just never done it. 138

But, it was cheapest, was present, and required no modification so we ran it. The one huge down side of the 46rh is parts are becoming more and more limited by the day. Torque converters are ridiculous, core charge is 900 most places. All that to say, something like a 4l80 makes some sense to me. 140
