Tilt rotors cannot lift as much in an out-of-ground effect takeoff, like sling loading a vehicle or a gun, for example as a helo can. So that makes me nervous. The Osprey is not all that capable for the Marines. And the Army always shows up overweight, with more troops, and always seems to need more flight time than planned. I hope this new thing does not disappoint.
