Branding
« on: May 26, 2021, 09:23:30 AM »
Believe it or not, the work has been on-going behind the scenes for proper branding.

After swinging here and there I have settled on the nautical Compass.

I think it works because we as men navigate through life one way or another. A compass is an ancient device that led men of antiquity across the vast seas to discover lands of milk and honey.

Much the same, we, men of modern times, use our bible, our faith, and the counsel of other strong men rooted in faith to navigate through the trials of everyday modern life. So a slightly modernized version of the ancient, "largish" nautical compass works. With the percision of laser cutting and digital everything, that compass is drawn more precisly. However no one gets through life without weathering some signigicant storms...Divorse, Loss of a son or daughter, Cancer, loss of a job, addiction, you name it. All of it serves to tarnish the chrome, and nick away at the edges, but leaving the faith mostly intact. Therefore, our compass shows "Battle damage" so to speak, although survives to still point the way.

Our compass points always to him...No matter where we find ourselves. It is overlaid with the Real-Man script, because I hope we all believe that Jesus was the best example of a real man we will ever find, and I hope that men like us will endeavor to work to become more like him as we navigate back toward our eventual rendevous with either him or satan.

Finally, I kept the ISA 6:8

Because, if you are the kind of Marty-milk-toast man who wishes not to volunteer to serve him, you would be offended and put off by that scripture. And you would probably leave. I am not saying I want anyone to leave, no I would rather that men all had a conscience and courage, but I am just not seeing that in our culture. So here, I will hope to attract strong men of substance, so that they may become beacons to others who seek to be like the one who shines through them.

But

A real man of God loves to serve him, and the men of this website do not shy away from who they are.

So, Isaiah 6:8 shall be written into the fabric of what we do here

And the Lord said,
Who shall I send, and
Who will go for us
And I said
Here am I, send me

I posted this in the event someone needed to print something out
Disregard the small decal design as I am going to change it so that it will fit on a car window and that the script can be read without the need for a magnifying glass.

With any luck, Dave, I will have some of these available pretty soon. Printing the first six large ones, 31" X 36" in white/red for the sides of my trucks and camper...

Errr, two of the big ones or the window decals?

And since you mentioned it, to everyone, is this a thing you peepeel will all want?

I just told the manufacturer to build me 6 of the big ones but they are expensive. I have no clue about the window size yet, but if enough peeps are wanting them, I'll have them make us a hundred or so. I'd want to get rid of them quick, since the masking tape the decal comes affixed to will eventually adhere to the actual decal and render it junk. Read: Shelf life limited.

I’ll take 4 of the little ones.

And if you have some short sleeve pocket tees printed In OD green I’d be down for some.

I once again come across the word “expensive” and often wonder the definition.  A couple is two right? A few is three or more... expensive is a variable term that many throw around.    I think wiper blades at $36 bucks are expensive but I’ll gladly pay for a $20 hamburger from Burley burger ( look em up they are worth every penny)

So what’s the cost on the big ones.  I’d like one for the back ramp of my trailer, I’d definitely consider one on my garage wall also

I also can have one cut here in Utah if you didn’t care a whole bunch.

Dave,
I put the clip art up there so you could elect to just have your own cut, so have at it, my blessings

I think the price per for the biggins is mid forties, but still waiting on the quote from Miss Deja.

Yea one is one
Couple is two
A few is three
four is four and so it goes

OK, so when I get the price nailed down, I'll order the six I need of the big ones...I am now assuming NaCl Dave is making his own, I won't order him one unless he asks.

I think I'll order 25-50 of the smaller ones, then when they get here (Late June I'd think, we'll figure out the mailing list and get to it.

I use this place a lot for work making different types of signs and stickers.  Owners name is Phil.  He is a veteran.

He has different materials to print on that offer different longevity.  He mentioned wrap grade vinyl for max life.  Might be worth getting a second quote.

Matt, you know him?

For now I'll follow through with the folks I am working with. They have spend their time on this, so they should reap the reward.

Now, following this, I am flexible, if I am the one who will be ordering the things.

I am familiar with him.  I have used his services for work.  I would use him again.  In addition to the printing shop, he does site construction and concrete work.  He does good work.

I didn't Dave, not yet. With the trip folding and my son getting "shorter" toward leaving home, it has not been a priority. I will, however, get back on it in a little bit

Holy Tamole, you did!

Everyone: Dave has been asking for the graphic for RealMan and I thought I lost it when my older ASUS died. But it looks like it has been rediscovered.

Dave: You seem to be taking point on this, so
Do you like the current design?
Anything about it that you'd like to see differently?
Do you want to lead the design of the branding/compass rose?

I’m not sure I’m in a spot to do that but I’ll look into it.

There are companies that can get tshirts and stuff pretty easy now as well.

For a 4x4 graphics. Printed not a vinyl cut out is $100 bucks.
He can change of manipulate colors or size.
He is getting me two, one for the gates on each of my trailers.

I’d like something smaller for back windows  of a truck size, in the vinyl style. I can ask him what he could do for that and then I could distribute

Anyone ?

I don’t have Dons pocket book to pay for a bunch of swag then have it sit in a box but we could come up with an order maybe.

Whoa big boy!
No need to buy anything for other than yourself...I'm just wondering if you may be the right guy to lookover our design or possibly change. If you like it the way it is, then we're all done.
So, $100 vinyl cutout (labor intensive) is what size???

I've got the pockets for some stuff, if we ever decide on an idea...

The $100 bucks is for a solid piece of 3m air release out door product.
No little pieces to worry about.
So 5’x5’ round circle solid printed on logo.

He has some smaller I will look at on Saturday.

I think for windows/glass id rather a single color vinyl cut out.  I dont want a solid sticker on my glass

Agree, single color for the smaller window decal.
The problem I have long had with this design is when you make it small, you can no longer read the "RealMan" lettering. That's why I changed that to red...still doesn't work well.
For a 5-footer, $100 doesn't sound bad.
