What we have and what it was spent on
« on: October 01, 2014, 10:08:56 PM »
Thanks to everyone who is donating money
The focus at the moment is feeding homeless people in a poor/crime ridden section of Cincinnati called Over the Rhine.

Tonight some street preachers met with volunteers to feed homeless people on the streets of Cincinnati. We fed somewhere around 100, which is a smaller number than the normal 300+ because of the bad weather. By the time we started we were hit by a thunderstorm which showered us with hail as well.

Never the less Pastor Jim and Pastor CJ spread their message of loving people and meeting their needs. Everyone enjoyed a complete meal and some left with warm clothes and blankets. They were headed off to camp under bridges and in a nearby camp which is in the woods.

I was able to connect with many of them. You know a person with nothing can be pretty candid, and their stories are heart breaking. I'm sitting inside a warm dry luxurious office in my big house and outside a thunderstorm is drench those forgotten people

If you haven't ever done something like that, I'd encourage you to do so. Talk about something that will give you a whole new appreciation for even the dry socks you are wearing...That will!

Then as the people gathered, so did the storm clouds

Not to worry, we put up a set of 10 X 10 tents in rapid fashion, finishing just as the hail started!

Humble? Yes!

But this is the work of Jesus. Pray for folks, yes, but sometimes you need to put your left in front of your right and get out and help your fellow man

This man was so happy he started dancing. He said it had been a couple days since he ate!

So, from me, thanks to those of you who donated the money. This is what it did. You met someone's need. Someone you don't know, and I promise I will take every red cent and spend it on people in need. We will keep nothing, so 100% will be given to them
God Bless you!

Yea, I think I'll do that every time

I don't know what I am supposed to make yet...they are a bit disorganized, so I am buying big cans of stuff and shelving them so I can get right on it...takes a couple hours to prep up...
