Coffee with the wife at our local Sat morning hangout. Then picking up some hardware at TS for the jeeps so some wrenching can commence late morning.

Edit: baylee is a tired sleeping all day teenager....
X -xj checking out some wiring on her front right turn signal

X -xj drilling steering bolts for press on grease zerks

-jk reinstall winch on front bumper

-jk change rear axle gear oil at 350 mile break in (normally 500 miles but it’s 5:43 gears so it turns a bit more)

Moving mom into her new home today. Got the bed yesterday and found a lift chair at the local 2nd hand store in nice shape.

Once she has a TV and few personal things the rest will follow quick.

I think for the first time in my life.  A woman ( my wife) understands why I always have a knife.   I won’t be teased.

The story goes on from the prayer thread.

The razor ended up in enough water the tires were under.   Two people able to get out but the third appeared to be unconscious.  The other two tried to get him out but the seat belt wouldn’t let go, the seat itself wouldn’t release.   For a five dollar knife in a pocket. My buddy would still be here today if one of the others had one.    EDC is truer now than it ever will be.

They went to the c store for some chew.  The boy took the corner to sharp and over corrected rolled the machine down the beach/embankment till it stopped upside down in the water.

Well changed the oil on the wife’s GL and reset the TPMS. And dang if the MIL lamp ain’t on again. I’m tired of sinking money in this thing.  3 months ago I told her to start test driving vehicles and she’s driven 1. She may come home to something else in the driveway if she doesn’t get on the ball and she may not like the choice I make for her....

Charles, my wife picked out her last vehicle after driving 30 different vehicles. No one in the family liked it (which we told her b4 we bought it btw). I don’t think she really liked it either, truth be told. Bought her this 4Runner & everyone is happy. The cherry on top was her telling me I’m just going to let you choose from now on. We love our Toyota so far.....

Oh & im officially 41 today, so there’s that.

Young Pup - Happy Birthday, Shawn!  I let my wife pick after I narrow the field for her, she almost always goes for cheaper!  Her latest was between a 2017 & 2016 MDX certified used, lots of bells and whistles.  She went with the 2016 - “I didn’t need the latest and greatest, either are an upgrade over the old MDX” gotta love a frugal wife!

It’s hard to teach being frugal, I think 2 of my 3 daughters understand the concept. The last thing my wife looks at is price....

Happy birthday Shawn. I vaguely remember 41. I was pushing myself to hit 400 on the bench press. Now I’m happy if I can do push-ups. LOL...

And for the record my wife is the frugal one.  Thank God. I can’t afford two of me.

Happy Birthday Sean, wish I was around that age. I am up with Don.

Just retuned the LBZ with my old DSP5 tune after running the stock to smog it. (ran like a dog, bad mileage)

Actually moving mom today, her alarm went off again this AM (false and the neighbors got there first). Got her a new TV with wifi, 50 inch for $300.

70, better than I,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I spoke too soon, just got home from movie theater. Baylee, Shelby and their two friends who are also sisters same age as mine were apparently propositioned during a movie by a 50+ year old man.

Long story short the girls got up and went to tell a manager and the guy ducked out a side exit door. They were reviewing video footage when we left. Creep...

Did get mom moved today, but it was a long day for sure. Still more to do and move, but the worry is gone now (plus her alarm went off at 0700 again)

Plus I watched my daughter drive and dad is going to need to step in fast. Mom has taught her to drive straight is about it. Seeing a U turn and 3 point scared the crud out of me.

Good thing you weren't there, they might be looking for a body.

I have got to get on the driving training thing...scares me too.

Shawn, chances are he hangs out there for that purpose. Might be worth another trip to the movies. This time with your daughter.

Don’t forget the roll of plastic and duct tape....

Charles, I was able to narrow down the window when he exited the theater to about 10-15 mins. I went over the camera layout with the jr manager. Rent a cop and GM we’re looking at video footage, I was not allowed to go up & part take. Worth noting, no cameras in theaters there other than customers. Real Police could care less, no law against being a creep. My thought was he does this often too which is why we hung around for a good hour hoping to at least get it documented.

One thing kids need to know is that phone is a great weapon, between video and a simple dial 911 (thinking mollie tibbets) let the audio play as it’s recorded if nothing else. It also has location and time stamp then. Baylee is going to be taking krav maga this winter, she hit me up about it again and she has no physical limitations now.

My second just got her learners permit, yeah it’s scary. One word of advice, stay calm & talk softly. They will choose Dad over Mom at least in my house.....

I like your driver's ed advice, except the staying calm part.... you sound too brave, or maybe confident. Shawn, you obviously didn't have to occupy the same vehicles with me and my 4 girls as they each tried to kill me multiple times, on multiple occasions. LoL

My daughter is 13 and I worry about Drivers Ed - took her go-carting and she was out running me until I was going to catch her in lapped traffic coming into a turn with two side by side slow cars I set up high to dive low outta the turn and SHE just shot the gap between them through the turn, never lifted!

The poor Drivers Ed teacher is gonna earn EVERY cent!

Yep, we had DE in school still. Gave me my CDL in no time and passed the first.

Well, mom is back in the hospital for a day or 2. Got into the seniorhome OK, but the toilet flooded (unknown cause, but not the first there). She tried to clean it up and fell without her walker (Again!) and laid there for a couple hours in the muck until rooms flooded around her. 2 others are out of their rooms too because of this.

Starting clean her home out now, what a mess!

I started my day by driving to Commerce City (45 min one way) to the fedex terminal to pick up a crate of steel that Friday showed arriving around 7:30 PM. This morning it was not there and they could not tell me where it was. I received a call at 2 pm today stating they had it the whole time...…

Well, its red and in texas, but I bet it is to wide per DOT.

Like to see him parallel park.

Did you see the driver?

Yeah, Texas has its own law on trailer width. My one big Tex trailer I had came from the factory 2” too wide! No joke....
