We out grew our small spray room/booth.  We built a second floor above the shop over the last few weeks, moved the spray booth upstairs.    Now the air in the room can be cleared in seconds which is nice.  The down side is the Air Conditioned air now get evacuated just as fast.  It was 105 in the booth yesterday. With sweat dripping from my beard I told the boss this has better be short term or I am out.

Youngest got his archery badge and they let me play. First time I touched a bow in years.

I think all the hair from my back migrated to the front, if it were on my back I wouldn’t have to see it.   I’d be ok with that.  Plus doesn’t it keep you shirt off your back so air can flow like swamp cooler pad?

That’s a pretty nasty burn. Gonna be a rough couple days.

Anyone here have any experience with the GM 8.1L? Found a 2003 3/4 suburban at a small local lot I’d like to bring home. It’s a dark green, 1 owner, 103k miles, 8.1L, 4x4, cloth interior with bose radio. Biggest problem is I already have too many vehicles in the driveway but that could change easy enough.

Seems high $ but it has low miles and it’s a solid platform.    Heavy rear axle and a 4l80 trans right?

Could be the 85E used in heavier trucks. Does it have the 14ff rear?

Probably doesn’t have the Allison due to not enough room in the trans tunnel at stock height. Think only the trucks had the Allison behind the 8.1. Probably the 85E like JR said.

Ug, had a fender bender on the way to scouts tonite. I ran into a 98 honda a guy my age was driving (his daughters car)

Light was green (he says yellow) as we come up on an intersection. Guy in the left turn lane is out of his car confronting a motorcyclist, we both saw that. I maintained speed knowing the intersection, the guy in front of me stopped for the green (I figure looking at the incident) then the light turned red as I hit him.

About 5mph, but 8k vs 2k has no give. Slightly bent my stock front bumper, tweeked the entire rear of his car but driveable. Pics in the AM. I would call it unsafe stopping but its a tossup with Ca law. Naturally he stops in the middle of the intersection until I tell him to pull out of the way since no one was hurt and we were the only people in the vehicles.

21 year old car, will probably total out. Only worth 2k or so. Same would go for my daughters car.

The dash cam would show either following too close or looking at the other problem and smacking the rear end. My luck anyway dealing with the cops or his insurance.

My wife expanded my vocabulary this evening. Apparently I was having too much fun taunting the new liberals neighbors on FB. She told me I was perseverating, which for the record I had to look up the definition. Amazing, not quite sure it fit but I was thoroughly impressed with her language skills! Lol

Harassing liberals neighbors within your hoa? I’m sure....

It’s a pretty easy argument. Just state the rules and at times do the simple math for them and they get all sorts of upset. One even invited me to come to his house so I could tell him to his face to pound sand per what I implied on the fb. Being I live in hippyland and things are really confusing I then asked whether he had cheap whiskey or the good stuff because I’m not a cheap date! Lol

So I haven’t said anything but I’ve been working on our side yard and rear yard landscaping. Pretty much consists of laying a couple hundred feet of 4” tile and tons of stone. So far I have been shoveling and raking stone which isn’t very exciting. Both side yards are now complete with a crushed gravel walk path running down our side of the home.

My in-laws are due in Saturday and my father in law happens to be a contractor. He doesn’t like to sit idle at 68 years young and heard we were doing an outside fireplace on our rear patio. He has taken it upon himself to see this task through. After some discussion I agreed to have the foundation for this in place when he arrives. So today on this chilly day in July I dug 4 holes for the piers, crete’d them in place and tomorrow I will level, grade and pour the 6” slab.
