We are a very sensitive and cerebral bunch, Don....

And when that doesn't work we just blow stuff up...

9452
Yeah, its amazing if you go to a rig offshore how many different companies are a part of it and logistics and operations to make it all happen.  100s of millions of $$

I appreciate the "outsider" sentiment, however reading stats and briefings does not make one ready to lead in foreign policy or the economy.  Cruz is as close as you'll get to an outsider that can actually work the machine immediately.

As a freshman senator, he blew off the hundreds of years of "gentleman's rules" and refused to stay silent and respect the elders.  He called McConnel a liar flat out and challenged many others.  Remember that he and Rand Paul were the only ones to push for repeal of Obamacare and filibuster the NSA authorization to collect data in the Patriot act.

He's not a pretty and smooth as Rubio but he's the real deal conservative unlike Rubio who led the gang of eight to create amnesty.

Remember at this point in the cycle in 2008, Hillary led BHO by 30 points, and in 2000, Howard Dean was the leading candidate over Kerry.

I'll make a prediction.  Huckabee, Christie, Jindal, Paul, Kasich, Bush and others will drop out.  Carson and Trump will fade and Cruz and Rubio will rise to the top for the primaries.

Cruz will lose because the media will see him as a real threat and Rubio as the lesser of evil who can be made to go along.

Rubio will run against Joe Biden.

Because Hillary will be under indictment and Joe looks like the hero because he backed out and didnt challenge Hillary while drawing sympathy from the death of his son.  He will reluctantly enter the race to preserve the party and take one for the team.

Rubio will be the next president and our out of control spending will slow but not appreciably and our kids will be bankrupt just a little later than under the dems.

Think of it as fractional ownership.  No need to employ mechanics/pilots/administrators, eat depreciation, pay for insurance.

Those companies like PHI and ERA are well run machines and it really does work out to be cheaper in the long run.

General Maintenance, How to/DIY projects / Re: Brake fluid flush
« on: November 11, 2015, 07:32:52 PM »
Ryan, that one looks like it creates a vacuum using compressed air to suck fluid from the system.  I'm no expert, but I've been told that some ABS systems are sensitive to that method.  The Motive Products is a pressure system that you fill with fluid and then pressurize while it is sealed to the master cylinder.  ( you use various caps/adapters for different makes of cars - e.g. most GM cars and trucks have a threaded cap of the same size so the motive system has a cap with a gasket to which the hose from the pressurized container connects) Then you just crack the bleeder screw to allow the old fluid out as the new fluid flows in under pressure.  A hose and bottle is used to capture the fluid as it flows out.  I alternate the gold and blue fluid so it makes it easier to see when the new fluid comes through the hose.

I start at the furthest and work my way to the closest bleeder.  You have to let a lot of fluid come out the first bleeder to get all the old fluid out of the reservoir (or you can suction the old fluid out of the reservoir and fill with new before starting to bleed)

Given my humidity, I should probably do it every 6 months....

This made it much easier.  Otherwise , I'd probably never do it...

Yep.  those same people want to interview for a 100K job and wonder why they get passed over.  So they go to the only card they know how to play.  Racism.

Nope, I hire based on competency, period.  Having either your mommy and daddy pay for your degree or the government does not make you employable.  Show me someone who worked two jobs to get through school and I'll give you 10:1 they will make a better employee.  People who are given things don't appreciate them.

« on: November 10, 2015, 10:54:42 PM »
Watching the debate.  What's with these clowns like Kasich and Fiorina and a few others totally ignoring the time requirements and interrupting other candidates.  And Kasich not answering the specific question, but rambling about everything else.  And by the way Kasich, I heard you the first 3000 times.  You balanced the budget when in Washington...move on.

Cruz and Carson seem to be better at getting their points across and respecting the time limits everyone agreed to.

So, what's your maintenance schedule for brake fluid?  Age?  Mileage?

I try to do it every two years...not always that disciplined.

What's your schedule and the logic behind it?

I'm a Christian that does not celebrate Christmas (or Easter or Halloween) and I don't get offended.  I just respond to have a great day and leave it at that.  People that get offended are like the bums at Mizzou who think they have a right to not hear things they don't agree with and a right to not be offended.

Not bad.  Gotta be very careful about flammables lest you wind up in the 2016 version of the Darwin Awards.

There are some cheap kits designed for use with 55 gal drums too since you've already committed by cutting that tank in half

How accurate are the gauges and can the pickup tube get all the fuel?

I'm sure its better than the ones in our trucks..

Looks to be a cooler.  Probably thermostatically controlled fan I would guess.  Remotely mounted there is insufficient air flow to cool so there are units with a built in fan.  Ditch it and save 20 lbs.

Similar to this one by extreme diesel.

Man, I love the ceramic tile that looks like wood.  I have it in my weekend place and it's awesome.  Very kid friendly.

I have old school 3/4 inch oak hardwood plank floors in my house and they are NOT kid friendly...or drunk friends dressed like hookers with 6 inch heels and a missing rubber piece so that the nail puts an imprint in the wood floor every where she walked......

My wife is still steamed about that one....

Looking good Blaine.  Take lots of pictures.  Kids are rough on houses....as you undoubtedly know...

There are Christians that don't celebrate Christmas, but I don't know of any that openly promote homosexual marriage.

Just as we have a list of companies to support for their pro Christian values this company should be on the list of those that don't value the same things and perhaps not worthy of a Christian's economic support.

I'm not into hunting for the sport.  I do it to put meat on the table.  Some say its not sporting to take an animal from 500+ yards.  I say, If I can lay prone sip coffee and whack them from that far....Why not?

Oh, and the quotable, Don.  Came from movie called Life and Time of Judge Roy Bean.  I can't take credit for that one...

2tbs Tabasco
2tbs black pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 tbs mustard
3 tbs ketchup

General Maintenance, How to/DIY projects / Re: Deleting LML
« on: November 08, 2015, 08:44:50 AM »
It always helps to have a friend. One with small hands. The down pipe will be the hardest and is not necessary to delete if you want to get it going with the exhaust and tunes.

It helps to have one in the engine bay and one working the down pipe from the passenger wheel well. Pull the wheel and liner on that side too.

I swore to leave mine stock too but succumbed to the delete at 23000. I wish I had done it sooner. Not for the power(I only run the 60hp tune) but for the more than 3mpg I picked up towing my fifth wheel.

Ok ok ok..... We are going to hash this out! We have *9* kids! We need a 14' kitchen table if we are all going to sit down together! We don't even have a guest room and most of the bedrooms of Camelot  are double booked! Truth is, you can build a lot of house down here for a lot less money than most parts of the world! we probably have less money in it than Don has in Square D! ;)
