Someone want to tell me what happened here?
Hint. I expectKoot to figure this one out

Someone got stuck and had to be pulled out with a tractor?
Hopefully not the precious dually.
-
Something on your pretty red truck broke and you towed it away with the tractor, cause you didn't want to lay in the mud to fix it?
-
Essential elements of this puzzle:
Pond
Red mud
Tire track
Two tires side by side...Dually
Tractor tread over lies tire tracks
Right side of road (Facing away from pond) tractor tire was spinning a bit
Possible flat tire...
-
So some thing confuse me....the dually tracks seem to stop at the shade but maybe they go further. But if the truck stopped/broke/got stuck/died where the dually tracks "seem" to stop there would be no need for the tractor tracks to go back that far to tow it back toward the position where the pic was taken from.
Also the most visible tractor print suggests the tractor was heading toward the pond not away from it/toward the picture taker.
It looks like the path turns to the left but I cant tell if there's tracks there.
So maybe the dually and the tractor had a race into the pond...the dually won, but the tractor was second and both are in the pond. :-\
-
Actually the tractor tracks are heading away from the pond, unless someone put the tires on backwards (I've seen that before).
-
Keep in mind all I have is my phone to view this with...but guessing it looks like a compact tractor/skid steer got stuck and yanked out by a dual wheeled vehicle.
-
You were trying to fill your canteen at the edge of an idyllic pond, while the birds sang in the trees. When suddenly a large crocodile rushed up out of the water and came at you and tried to drag you under, there was a struggle and you prevailed. Afterwards it took the dually, the bus and a tractor to drag that beasty out of it watery lair..
Was I close?

I think Bobby might have it folks, seems plausible to me!

ROFL. Its been raining something fierce here the last couple of days. Red spots on the radar hanging right over the area.
So I had left the trailer down by the pond and I needed to use it this morning to go get some steel to build a better stand for the feeder this @^#&& pig keeps knocking down.
So I back the dually down to the trailer and .......stuck.5 of 6 tires spinning.....55000 mile Michelin atx don't do well up the hill in soggy soil. So I go get the tractor and latch on to it, leaving the truck running in gear to get a little help. Tractor (and Koot) laugh at the dually and ease it out without spinning a tire (the apparent spin area was the dually tracks) All that before 8 am in the rain. At least the dually didnt keep going and run into the backof the tractor....
Moral of the story 4WD aint much good without mud tires....
-
LoL I can relate on the rain... like 14" the last few days. Even the mud rubber on Patch isn't cutting it.
stay dry man

Well glad you had a way to get it out. Mud is amazing as a traction elimination medium. >:(
I am confused about something...I thought the tractor treads look like you drove straight in toward the pond because it looks like the "point" of the lugs is toward the pond. Aren't most tractor tires oriented that way? ??? But you said you're glad the truck didn't hit the back of the tractor when you pulled it out...so I'm just confused now. Which means normal for me... ::)
I have read about some folks on 4WD tractors that have the same size tires front and back mounting them one way on the front and the other way on the back but I'm just not sure now what I know....or more accurately don't know! Ha.

Wilbur, when the tire touches the ground, it is opposite of what's on top. if you enlarge the pic you can see that the track is backwards as it meets the ground. (I'm not trying to sound like a smart butt )

Doh!!! That makes perfect sense! Sheesh...thanks Ken. Ha....some times the easiest answers are right there in front of me. But like so much in life...I have to "see"! Thanks Ken!
-
well, at least we know the Gov-loc is still working;-)
-
Those Gov Locks only power both tires when neither tire has traction.... ;D
