For the big orange thing, I have beat one of those for days and it never missed a beat!

I think the answer, Don, is "it depends".  I've heard of trucks never having an issue with "pump rub", and some failing sub 100K miles.

To remedy the situation, you have to drop and split the case, then replace the oil pump inside. Let me dig up some pics from when I did mine and get them attached here... maybe I'll start a thread.

Changed the oil and fuel filters on the Dmax today. Found my lift pump is not lifting (no power) and all the fuses are good. I mean they are ALL good, inside and out!

Traced the power wire to the distribution center under the dash where I had installed a plug just to power things. The red wire is "ign on" power and worked fine, now nothing. It powered the water inj also so that is why that stopped too. The cut and the yellow wire were for the injection, just removed the splice.

So I am stumped as with no fuses being bad and everything otherwise working (sans dash lights). I could just wire it to another pin (green arrow) but would like to address the issue really.

Put a 1 way fuel valve in the suburban. Always hard to start with pump up top figuring the fuel is draining back. Quick fix until the lift and new filter goes in.

As Tate just said to Sam -- cut the wire and solder it. Those scotchlocks are dog excrement.

Is your spare under the rear on this thing? Think they did that and put a saddle tank in it.
Yes it would be on this year truck. They stopped doing the spare in the cargo area in the late 90s I believe.

Garage looks better with the GM stuff rather than Mopar... ;)

Nice catch Ryan,  You must have a really big monitor....you always catch detail.  It is cat6 for a ubiquity AP.  The closet to the right is the nerve center for the entire property.  100mb connection, video matrix switcher, HDMI baluns, all the , NVR, Satellite-DVR, DVD, network server, stereo, etc.  It will then be piped to the main house and the seacan.  Will be installing all Ubiquity POE camera's and access points

Thanks Ken,  The stain turned out darker, much darker than what it was supposed to be but can't change it now. downstairs will have an arch top with a keystone over the windows and doors.

Standby JR, pics of the floor coming.  It the upstairs its a Shaw carpet frisee with memory foam pad.  Downstairs will be tile with a reclaimed wood look.

Dual 24’s and a 22” flipped portrait ;) And yeah, I’m a stickler for details as you have noticed (anal/OCD whatever you’d like to call it).

I almost pulled the trigger on a Netgear Orbi system this weekend then discovered it isn’t true mesh, so I scrapped that idea and think I’ll just add a few ubiquity APs like the one I have now. Slowly working on getting my house retrofitted with cat6 runs for data and cameras to a central smart panel.

Well i assume you don’t have a meter in it so the lines at the top are not hot.

I don’t see a neutral on the 100 amp from the garage.

You should have 2 legs of 120 and a neutral. Then your sub panel should have a separate ground rod and the panel should not be bonded to the ground.

Only the service entrance panel grin d and neutral should be bonded. That’s the only place your neutral and ground are together electrically speaking.  In sub panels the neutral can be current carrying and bonding it to the grounds can lead to a risk of shock

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

X2 to what Charles said, but there should also be a ground back to the main panel in addition to the local ground rod. And it needs to be separated from the neutral at the sub panel as he said.

Don. There is a company that retro fits the stock headunit to have Bluetooth and line outs for an amp. Keep it stick looking. The bezel you speak of is only made in black

Also if you ignore sage advice and do lift it. I need the crossmember and the little piece you have to saw off the crossmember mounting pocket please.

I must be the oddball... I really like my Makita set. About 10 years old and still going strong, though the batteries aren't lasting as long as they used to.  Buddy of mine has an older Dewalt impact and it is on or off -- no in between. I use the impact for everything - can throttle it down real slow and set even the tiniest/most delicate of screws.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "she shed"?

It’s the new thing... a place for her to go to get away (much like a man cave).

There is an insurance commercial on tv right now where they call up the agent to ask if a fire destroying her she-shed is covered...

One of our other houses is going much better than mine

Brick back splashing I did, I don’t like the idea but it will look nice

Concrete simulator tiles we put up on the fireplace.  Again differing opinions but it looks great

Custom hand rail by our welder/fabricator inside and outside of the house.  It gets paint after inspection and all other trades are finished

That customer obviously prefers a more “modern” look with the concrete on the fp and steel handrail. Not my favorite either Dave, but it looks nice I guess.

9’ ceiling downstairs? Like advice in many of Don’s threads (ie, too little, too late)... ya know they make 4.5’ tall pieces so you only end up with one seam on those walls? :) Looks good though! Will look even better once it is mudded, textured and painted!

Hope they used screws and not nails on the ceiling pieces. I spent some time last Saturday pulling nails, replacing with screws and repairing about a dozen pops on my ceiling.
