Been with State Farm for the last few years and just got my renewal for my homeowners policy today and it went up $120/year. Gonna have to call up my agent and see what gives.

got one to top that... 2wd S10 pulling a car trailer with what looked like some kind of 2/4 post lift AND a car on it. Rear bumper was almost dragging the ground. Didn’t get a chance to snap a pic, just wanted past him ASAP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow. Today was musical chairs. See if you can keep up.
Wife unit sick with cold I gave her. Out of commission and non functional.
Drove the dually to the office and parked it in my parking spot. Ubered back home. Took daughter #1 to school in new Denali. Drove Denali to work and parked in the spot next to mine which belongs to a coworker who’s on vacation until 6/6. Then drove Denali to stereo shop for a Viper alarm installation and had them add a secondary subwoofer to the factory Bose system. Got picked up by a team member and taken to lunch with an employee and some team members for a birthday. Then they dropped me off over at the repair shop to pick up the wife’s GL320 - new door lock latch and actuator and reman transfer case (ouch). Then drove the GL home and grabbed the wife’s minivan to take it to the body shop to get the NASCAR racing stripe repaired on the passenger side where she was sideswiped (driver bailed to the exit and ran). Ubered back to the office. Picked up the dually and took it to be inspected and drove it to meet up with some friends at happy hour. Then back to the office and ubered over to the stereo shop to get the Denali and finally back home.
Now I actually have to get some work done.....

I ran premium in my 6.2L so better fuel I think helps hp (at least in my mind, lol), not sure what they recommend though.
JR may be on to something, I haven't looked at GM truck sales figures lately but a year ago they were dismal & declining. Part of that stumped me when I was trying to buy as they should have been willing to deal quicker than they were when I was looking. It's hard to get one dealer anymore to drop much below another. They are all pretty well on the same page as far as pricing, I blame the internet and technology for that as I think it is controlled pretty tight from the top anymore. The only thing I have really been able to do in recent years is to get them to throw in extras at the particular dealership such as extended oil changes & warranties. You know the other freebies when you start fine tuning a deal. My mom's lesbaru I was able to get her an extra $500 in oil changes and $1000 towards things like weather tec floor mats etc. Her's was a lesbaru corporate unit with 6K on it.
Lesburu... too funny. I think the biggest drawback for the Denali is it doesn't come in red.
Uh oh, better get Maaco! He could always paint it Heck, our 3.6L V6 Acadia only gets about 16 on average... I can stretch that to about 20 on the highway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dave, my wife had a 6.2l in a Denali. It wasn’t that we couldn’t afford the vehicle or the fuel. However, it annoyed me how much fuel it drank regardless.......
But, it did run well granted......
I don’t mean it in a negative manner but when ya really look at the cost difference in 14 mpg and 18 mpg for a average years driving. $3.00 a gallon. 15000 miles a year that’s $2500 in fuel vs $3214 which really is only $700 bucks difference. But it does hit you if you drive a lot more than that. Or if your lookin for distance with out fill up.
So if we talk about $700 bucks for that much HP knowing he likes Boost (we all like BOOST) I would say get the 6.2 and live it up

Our Acadia did something funny like that last week... I hit the pedal to go and the engine revved but didn’t want to put the power to the ground. Then it finally did. Of course this was on a left hand turn with oncoming side traffic.

Those steps look great. When a company comes to carpet they add about $75 to carpet one step. Then an additional $75 per step. Lowes and Homedepot do this with the offer they have to carpet a house for $99. It does not include steps. So if you can do your own steps you can save big.
All the recent ads I’ve heard from HD say they include steps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, yes and no Nate... He already moved the A/C compressor out of the way, so we know the lines are flexible in spots, so the condenser should be able to be moved a bit too to aid in working room. The condenser is considerably smaller than the radiator and intercooler, and is the front-most item in the stack, so that would gain him 4-5" fore/aft of working room for wiggling the pump in and give him some line of sight on the sides. Here's a pic of the front end of mine torn apart 2 years ago. I was able to remove the core support without disconnecting any of the A/C lines, thats how much play it has. Caveat here -- mine is an '06, Don's is an '11, so I don't know what all has changed...

Why not pull the front cooling stacks to gain access to the water pump, fan, harmonic balancer, etc?

I'd do rebar in your concrete, not the mesh. I had a stamped concrete patio done last Oct and opted for rebar on 18" square. It has no relief cuts in and I haven't seen a single crack yet. Though, its not subject to thousands of pounds of vehicle weight.
So, now that your lot is higher than the others, the water will flow into their yards... have you thought about doing some french drains around the perimeter?
Around these parts - good topsoil (3-way blend) is $34/yard. Just picked up half a yard last weekend to top up a flower bed.

My technique to loosen the fan nut from the H2O pump is to jam the pulley, then smack the big wrench on the nut and hope for the best. I wish there was a better way, but I don't know it.

Yeah I figured it was off road. Just was thinking if there’s any left in the lines when you hook back up to the tank... though the odds of being pulled over and the tank dipped are probably next to nothing. Was red just what you had available/easier than siphoning some out of the tank?

Chevrolet K1500 99-00.5 rear end problems galore. 01-06, 07.5 I think, prior to fuel management BS and it's associated issues is the way to go. 246 t-case w/ possible pump rub issues w/ all of them, but that's an easy fix, and the front end will need going through, but dad had an 01 with a 5.3L and we threw 4.11 gears at it and he tows 30ft bumper pull over the cascades without issue and gets 15-18 without towing. the 6.0L in my wifes Yukon 2004 gets around 13-15 all the time, and about 10mpg towing, but power is a lot more apparent. if it were me, doing everything all over again, I'd have a 4 door 2005-2006 reg bed w/a 5.3L and be done with it. the ride quality in the Silverado is just so much better, even when the whole front end was wasted it rode better than the competition.
I had an '02 Chevy 1500 with the 5.3 and that thing did everything I asked it to and then some. The only (memorable) issues I ever had were the power brake booster and knock sensors.
