I haven't had the pleasure to shoot any of those, but I also have never fractured my wrists. Lol

.50AE is about the same as .45ACp, recoil-wise.

Tate, I believe the Dodge pick-ups were M881s. That was before the CUCV acronym.

You would definitely know more than me on that one. I was just trying to compare it to a similar vehicle application. thanks for the clarification!

No problem. Like the CUCV pick-ups, they were rated at 1.25 tons, and called a "5/4 ton".

Any experience with your lady counter parts shooing them?

Biggest issue with Glock is limp wristing on the part of the shooter. If your wrist isn't locked, it'll cause a feed malfunction. As long as you employ a proper grip, and don't try to be a Hollywood gangsta, you should have no worries.

I had a G23 for a number of years, and it was a good pistol. The only reason I got rid of it was to pay off an AR15 I had on lay-away when I lost a job years ago. Money paid towards the AR was not refundable, and I already had a pistol (1911).

I'd like to add that with the safetied bolt heads, possibly a part destined for military sales/useage?

ding ding! usually the dodge version of the CUCVV, not sure what it's acronym would have been, but I get a lot of calls from miners using old airforce rigs with d70 front and rear and a lot of these lockers.

Tate, I believe the Dodge pick-ups were M881s. That was before the CUCV acronym.

How come it's always the really BIG ones that are messed up?  I had a student early in my career who let some dirtbag friend jailhouse tattoo her name across her backside about waist high in Old English script and actually misspelled her name!!  The dufus running the needle on a stick was so dumb he'd have misspelled his own name and never known it!

Funny that you posted those pics mike, i was actually assigned to that battalion and stood them up from nothing 2010-2012 as their battalion fire support nco.

As funny and inventive as that second picture is, you couldnt offer me enough money to eat one of those steaks....they are actually being cooked with jet fuel exhaust....read poison......if you cooked those over a barrell of pure gasoline/kerosene, you would basically get the same result.

Nothing like a little JP-8 for flavoring! LOL!

« on: April 06, 2019, 08:49:15 AM »
So let's explore the "what-if"

So these guys show up on a RM's porch. He confronts them with Armee Sean's .45. They sense they have the upper hand and present a knife. In my world, that's a double tap, followed by another than possibly one or two safety shots.

The law comes before you can dispose of the trash

In the Kentuck, statements would be made, but two mexicans in your yard with guns, shot, OK, pretty open and closed case.

But what would come of the home defender in liberalopolis? Would he be guilty of being a racist? Exercising his white privilege? (I mean the poor mexican unemployed MS-13 hitmen were just trying to steal to feed their children, right?) Where would all of this ended up at in twistedville?

In twistedville, you'd then be in the fight of your life, just to remain free. That is one of the reasons I will not live in a city/state with those type of liberal laws. For those that do, I recommend a silencer, and the three S philosophy.

Coffee Induced Early Morning Rant / Re: So I needed to share
« on: April 05, 2019, 06:39:40 AM »
Wow! That blows my mind. If I caught anybody in my back yard uninvited, they'd be staring down the business end of a .45, while I contemplated dialing the local LEOs. What do you want to bet the illegals will bring their friends next time? An easy mark makes for easy profit.

These people are SO obviously frauds

Is everyone blind?

Can you just make stuff up, do nothing with your life

or things of a nefarious nature

And be upheld by the Democratic national committee?

It's very unsettling, and heck, we the real people do not want to soil our hands and get into politics to try to stem the tide of outright stupidity being exercised by half or more Americans these odd days.

Don, I think the backers of the DNC (real power) seeks these people out to ensure they have control. It's hard to be moral, or act with integrity, if you have serious black mail info hanging over your head.

586
Having grown up in El Paso, I would say those payments (or money laundering deposits) were almost surely from a representative of the local drug cartel.

Another good app is Avenza Maps. I can read any geo.pdf map, and you can download all the national geo survey maps for free. The free version of the app limits the number of maps you can download. If you are going to any offroad parks, check out carto trax (https://www.cartotracks.com/). This a friend's company that does mapping for a great number of off road trails for use in the Avenza app.

Battle sight zero, so you can pick up your buddy's weapon and be relatively sure of dropping bodies with it. Also helps to get you on paper for the zeroing process.

Definitely good info on the struts in an engine fire. I always knew to approach at a 45* angle, but now I know why. Soft shackles...interesting. I can definitely see the advantage, but would thing a continuous loop would be safer. Attach like a prusik, and hook the recovery cable/strap to it. No know to come loose in a spectacular fashion. I'll definitely be watching some youtube on this!

595
LOL! This is definitely a funny one. If I was in this situation, though, I'd just have to reach out and yang the nail free. We could discuss it later. LOL
