Woke up this morning to some fraudulent charges on my bank account, lots of charges for about $200ish dollars.  I mean lots.

All were still reading as pending charges so took quick action to get with my bank and lock things up and down.

They did a brief investigation and decided I had met traveled to the east coast, I hadn’t been overseas and processed my claim to return my account to as it was and send me all new cards and so forth

Sure makes you feel really vulnerable to have accounts just instantly become empty.     Cash is king.  Until you loose your wallet lol

I have a gen Weber at my mothers house, it’s ten plus years old and a fantastic grill

I have a cheapo $99 I forget the brand.   It works good for the two things I use it for.  Reheating pizza and grilling burgers.

Everything else goes in the smoker

Ah smoked meatloaf lol

This is the backside of the white drywall,

I was present for a lot of it but I had a surgery for a few weeks out, I also had other homes to build.   I really couldn’t have imagined of all the subs we had. That the insulation guy was seemingly the most likely to neglect

I crawled in my attic to verify some hot spots in the master bed room were lacking insulation.  I was correct

This is the worst area.  That’s the drywall you can see instead of fluffy pink insulation

Again poor quality work.

not to hi jack your thread, but there’s an 07 white burb with black leather, double captains chairs. with an LMM in it for sale around here for decent $$ (in my opinion)
What's decent money???

The lady of the house is tired of the GJ and wants a Suburban

Edit: Thanks for the PM!
Time to go edit the GJ thread, what’s the specs on that? My wife wants a GJ with 1tons via greatlakes

Yeah you could say second floor.  It’s out of the ground eight feet.  The wall in photo faces south east so the sun is long past those walls.

The photo shows how the lack of insulation in the corners and in the roof are causing a major issue

When I was there in Yellowstone a few back. I had a ranger try and sell me bear spray.   I simply asked if he had tried it,  he said no but they have done plenty of testing.   I replied that they have done plenty of testing on air bags and they actually cause deaths in car accidents.  I’d take my chances on 18 rounds of 40 and all else fails stand in front of the wife so I get Ate first

Tonight I pulled out the thermo camera and checked insulation.    My master bedroom is about 8 degrees warmer than every other area of my house

Well here is some images

Master bedroom caufer ceiling

Master exterior wall corner

Just for proof of concept. My vaulted ceiling in the living room is a cool 72*.

I think I have an insulation issue not an ac issue

I haven’t checked my basement yet

Last Christmas when I was gifting a trans shift issue. MikeL tore into the truck and the first phone call from him was that my shiftlever/gear selector on the steering wheel column, the connecting power wires were damaged.   He said it causes many grimlins in these trucks and that’s why it’s where he started.    It’s simple to pull the steering wheel plastic off and one bolt to removed the shift lever.   It’s worth a simple check and no $$$$ to check

Don brought up a good point

These kids are 4 years old.  They spend a large portion of time learning how to “get right” in time out. They love to be in trouble!    I hope they get it out of their system while mistakes are mistakes and not more serious

Every morning they come crawl in bed next to me. Give me a big hug and a kiss good by as momma takes them to day car/preschool.  I can’t think of a better alarm clock.

I’ll post photos of the new bikes I got them today.

One of the things I find fascinating is noticing differences in things as I travel across the country.

For example.  UT and WY seem to have a lot more trucks with extra drop axles or multiple drop axles than I’m used to in Texas. And they pull more doubles and triples than I am used to seeing.

Also, they mostly use huge square bales of hay/alfalfa where in Texas we are almost exclusively round bales.

And then the cement trucks are completely backwards, having drop axles and the discharge up front.

The front unload cement trucks here are great for visibility of the driver.  He doesn’t even leave the cab except to wash out and load the shoot

On our last trip to Moab I ended up yelling at an Asian family to move out of the way.  They struggled with some slick sandy rock areas and a river crossing.   Wrong attire makes that stuff harder.  I told them to turn around and go to the shops on Main Street

In Yellowstone I had a lot of asian people taking photos of my blue eyed blond twins.   Like blatantly taking my kids photos.  So I started holding them with the bird finger out

I had similar issues and the problem was in the shifter handle it self.  MikeL replaces the shift handle and the old wires were cracked and broken and barely connected

I would start there myself.  Simple to check

How many Asian people did you see hiking in regular cloths?    That’s what I found comical in Moab.   Scout troops in full dress hiking sticks n boots and full packs. Than a Asian lady walking carrying a infant in her arms wearing clog looking shoes.     That’s when I swore I’d never do arches again.

City required vinyl fence, I would have done good ol chain link

We ended up doing the complete east side and the complete west side.  Now to drill holes for the back wall.
