One of the big things is they are not open to outside air like a standard window AC.

I wold not consider that tin can a ground until grounded like you did.

I need the week as I didn't do the guy weekend this year.

Going to let me finish a few things too as they are hard to do with everyone home.

Another wedding? West point, cool!!! And he sings.

I hate spending $15 on a cut. I look for coupons all the time. My wife cuts hair too, but won't do mine.

I'm recovering from a 4 day cruise, both me and the wallet,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, First airline flight for the youngest.

Wife pays for the cruise, and flight, the rest was mine. Around 1k but the kids had fun. They parasailed, we saw a few things on shore, shows are free.

The boys and I leave for scout camp in the morning, right above where all the fire were last year. Be back sat, then a week by myself as they go to church camp.

Went fishing with the boys. They played on the kayaks and I caught a couple. One nice 18in rainbow, sure tasted good!

Let them shoot the 23 a few times and the 22/45. Lake was full, temp about 85 and the few boaters left us alone!

You can’t sell it!  Or fix it, or part it out. I’ve started using it as a landmark when I give people directions to the office......”when you see the green dodge that looks like it would be fun to drive if it ran, you’re almost there. “

Got the repair shingled, came out OK. Color is off but the roof is 10 years old. Had to redrill several of the vents.

Went with 5in ridge beam I had to use 7in vent on both sides. So twice the vent and another row of shingles over that, then cap the top. I was going to tape the seam, but figured 3 layers over it was enough.

Vent worked out great with holes about dead center. Got it all capped off just before the 4th stuff. The other side will have to wait for vacations that start the 8th.

With all drilled out I filled the hole form the vent and threw a piece of 30# felt up.

Sealed up the hole from the bottom too. Sure a little overkill but I had the stuff.

Roof is brutal on the hole saws. After 2 lenox saws, I got this bite with carbid tips and easy clean slots. It works great and just a buck more than a lenox and fit the arbor.

Tomorrow early I will shingle and trim the vent to fit.

Drilled the holes for 1/2 the ridge vent. almost 26ft and won't have time to finish before we cruise out next week.

Had a leak from the vent so out it comes. Ridge vent will do its work now anyway.

I don't think any of us really follow the man suggestion on oil changes, time wise at least.

Get a vertical 60 and be done with it. Don't buy to cheap. HF is OK as well as CH, but for just a little more if not the same you can get a Husky-IR-Kobalt.

You will never be sorry for a getting a little to much, but always regret not getting enough. All the verticals use the same room and many are 110v. Sure 2 stage and 220v is better but then they get pricey. You can always tap into the dryer for the unit, did that for years.

There is also https://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/ and northern tools that ship free. You may not need a full blown 80ga/7hp, but don't go cheap! https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/category_air-tools-compressors+electric-air-compressors+60-gallon-electric-air-compressors_0_0_P-Price||P-SalesRank|1

So wife and I head up to a Indian Casino for my birthday. There has been a fire burning up in the Lake County area for a few days, but a new fire broke out in Yolo county near the Casino we were heading to. https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article214136824.html
I was actually surprised the road was open for us. It went from 85 to 89 on the way up there and I took a few pics with the phone on level 5 of the parking garage. Cal Fire was all over and I am sure there are many homes lost out there. This was around 2300 and all I think they could really do was to protect what they could with the access they had. I would say this was about 1 miles from where we were and you could see flames shooting several hundred feet into the air. Yes, that is the casino you see in the last picture.

Been in the 100's so working on the plumbing some.

Got the sink vented and decided to stay with cpvc, keeping the house the same. Put shut off in the lines for upstairs vs every item. It is in a access panel in the laundry.

Also we had a bad smell coming from the new split system and think it was from the drain that ran into the vent . So got this P trap and plumbed it in (adding a little H20) and siliconed the tube in.

It also gets really hot up the stairway/hall even with insulation so I think an exhaust fan is in order moving the hot air into the main space.

The wrap allows breathing but some homes need more, hence the exchangers. We do it here in cali and our temps go from 30 to 110.

Sure Jarod would know more but you get snow and heat there, sure it is justified somehow.

And no red flag to boot!

I have the slideout on mine and it sticks out to the tailgate, great for those type loads.

Besides being better on the tailgate it supports the load better and less sticks out unsupported so no flag needed.

6ft beds mean you have to be creative

How did the ridge vent turn out?

Still in progress. Have to drill out another 20 bays yet and get mesh vent. Have the shingles to cover it quick. Been slow with kids out of school.

Only have to run about 2ft to hit the toilet. Pushed the wall back so the vent will be boxed into the corner.

Little 1.5in  for the sink and vent and rough plumbing done.
