Monster Russian Craft

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Cool but very old news and they are all rotting away. Ground effect aircraft, but very fast.

Its the missile pods up top I don't like!

Yeah it's pretty cool. Personally I'm glad they're rotting away, as they would be quite a menace to the seas.

I wouldn't be surprised if they still have a couple that can be put to work if need be.
Father, husband, farmer, trucker, mechanic, equipment operator, ect

I'm sure they let this one, languishing in disrepair be the focus of the article and very likely still have operational units. However I would like to think our radar and ships' missile defense systems have come a long way since '87 and R2D2 would light those suckers up in a heartbeat.

Yep, no matter how you see it that is going to put out on heck of a signal.

That type does hold the world record for lifting by an aircraft. Notice how russia just has to build the biggest (cept carriers)

Last time I was up at Evergreen Headquarters, the owners of the Goose, they gave me the museum executive tour. I got to get into the cockpit and sit in Howard Hughs seat.

That is one huge airplane!
