ready for deer season
« on: November 06, 2015, 10:48:45 PM »
I hope this guy shows his face in a few weeks.
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Nice looking lunch too.
I'm not going to get out for whitetail this year, but I can wait.

Im not ready in the least. We are still combining corn and the dammed road hunters get in the way. They sit and wait for us to scare deer out of the corn. Every year. I am debating a call to the game warden but I know the guys. Were not buddys by any means but I know them. They all live around here. That is not hunting. They just drive around all day.

..... They just drive around all day.

Nothing I hate worse. I had one guy on my brother's hunt last week, driving slow enough for all 4 people in his crew cab to glass deer, without stopping.....that's the pure definition of road hunting.

I'm not into hunting for the sport.  I do it to put meat on the table.  Some say its not sporting to take an animal from 500+ yards.  I say, If I can lay prone sip coffee and whack them from that far....Why not?

Oh, and the quotable, Don.  Came from movie called Life and Time of Judge Roy Bean.  I can't take credit for that one...

Don't know for certain, but of all my nieces, she's the one who'd hip check the boyfriend to gut it if she did!  ;D
