SHOP BUILDS- FROM PIRATE4X4.COM
« on: December 22, 2015, 03:39:25 PM »
I stumbled upon this extensive list of different kinds of shops people built all over the US (even Australia), its really extensive and has a lot of good ideas. plenty of dos and dont's as well as the usual DOTs we have all been accustomed to. Just thought this would be a good place for anyone looking to build or help in setting up their shop.

Big list of garage construction there

Ya know Pirate is a great place to (most of the time) get good technical information.

But for me the language and the way men, well, boys, conduct themselves there, it is a real turn off. So easy to be coarse and stupid. Takes a bit more to say things properly.

I'd advertise that site if I could invent some RMFA (Real Man Filter App) that removed anything that Jesus himself would find offensive. The cool part is the entire site would then fit on a 1MB memory stick, circa the late 80's!

I agree Don, good tech info, not-so-great maturity level among the participants sometimes.

Stay away from PBB, I advertised there for years. A ton of good info but it's going down hill fast in that regards since the original owners sold out several years ago. Then add in the trash & it's not worth the info there.
Living in the remote north hoping Ken doesn’t bring H up here any time soon…..

^^^ Pity

Well, we can redo it all here, but do it right, and I'll bet we last!

I agree, its hard to ignore the stupidity that most people freely spew on todays social media sites and forums. my intention is not to give them any free advertising and praise, just to give our users some examples of some shop ideas I felt were helpful.  I think its a great idea to start our own sticky and link to our users shop builds, so they can see how real men behave.

I created a new board for Shops Garages and Barns, and moved the few threads we had on that into there
