They said he will be in the hospital for 25-50 days. We are waiting for them to debride the burns today so they can truly tell how deep the burns are. Just a bunch of waiting. The owners are just being ridiculous. We found out from fire Marshall that this place was operating illegal and that they had shut them down 3 times. The kid doesn't have insurance and don't know if workers comp will cover with them operating illegal

On a positive note the department of labor came in today and said that worker comp would be paying for the medical bill

Another update: last night the started him on protein shakes. They want him to take in 3000 calories a day as the prep him for surgery. He wasn't able to keep those down. Hoping to find something today that he can stomach.

Thanks for the prayers

Been a rough day for everyone. His pain has been very high today and the meds haven't done much for him. Mom has been on a roller coaster ride with emotions and seeing her baby in pain and like this and I have been along for the ride also. The wife is going home tonight to get some rest. The first from Thursday. She insist on taking me to my shoulder surgery tomorrow. Even the dogs are stressed and acting very aggressive towards anything out of the normal.

The last couple of days have been very rough. Damien has been trying to  do as much as he can but the pain has become increasingly worse.  The hospital changed up his medications today and has helped some.

1) Please pray for reduced pain and good m
Pain management.

Everyone is exhausted and emotional drained. This has gotten to the point of being non supportive to each other.

2)  please pray for rest and our Lord's peace to be on everyone.

Damien has not been able to take in enough protein so they will need to place a feeding tube in to give him enough protein.

3) please pray that the tube will achieve the needed results and that Damien will be able to tolerate it.

Damien skin graft is scheduled for 11:00 on Wednesday.  After the graft they say he will be in much more pain. After which they will wait around 5 days to see how his body reaction/healing before they scheduled another.

4) please pray that the surgery will be a success. Damien's pain will be controlled and healing will begin.

The coworker Jay is in much more pain. His skin graft surgery was on Monday and I'm not sure how he did. The only thing he has been able to do was to get out of bed once and stand for a short period of time. His family especially his wife are emotional wrecks.

5) please pray for pain management, our Lord's peace comfort and direction on their lives.

For me the surgery wenr well Dr. Bond removed the bone spurs and repaired my bicep. I have sleep most of the day with the help of the never block and the pain pills, which I don't have to take them as often as prescribed.

He is out of surgery and in recovery doing well.  The plan is to check the healing in 3-5 days and if it is doing well he will have another surgery every week for his other limbs

Thanks for the prayers

Now for a praise

The doctor came out and told us:

Fixed graft on left middle finger & 2 blood clots
Burns on back legs are deep- down to his Achilles
Artificial skin on his Achilles because he could not put a graft on the tendon- 3 weeks from now check the artificial skin & may need surgery depending on how he heels
Took skin from his back
The burns on the front of his legs are narrow- Dr. Lentz said he may be able to do the front of his legs and arm in one. So 2 more surgeries, maybe 3 at worse.

Damien is out of surgery. They only had to do the inside of his right arm.
They are going to give him a week off and then do what is not healed on the front of his legs and his heel.
He has roughly 3 more weeks in the hospital.

2 seniors tragically died in our rural area in the past 2 weeks.  It's heartbreaking. There were both to graduate in the next couple days. We were just getting past Hunters then Halle's accident a couple days ago. That one hit me harder. It is my worst fear to lose one of my kids on a farm accident.

Please pray for these families.

The step son Damien had a follow-up today with his surgeon. The surgeon liked how the hands and arms are healing. However,  he was disappointed in how his legs are healing. He scheduled another skin graft surgery on 21 Jun to fix the places the grafts haven't taken like they should. After surgery he will be in the hospital for 5 or more days

Update on my friend Lamar from his wife.  Hi Matt. This is Tammy. I was actually trying to write a reply to Monday's text when this new one came in. Lamar has a LOT of swelling in his face. It's the worst it's been so far and started about a week ago. It's so severe that his left eye is completely swollen shut and he doesn't see very well out of the right. So basically, he can't read his texts. He's in constant pain and talking makes it worse. He's about halfway through chemo and radiation but he's not really feeling or seeing a difference yet. He hasn't been able to eat or drink by mouth for quite a while now so everything, including medicine, has to go through a peg tube in his stomach.

Let me make a prayer request on behalf of one of our members. His son is having some pretty severe psychological difficulties. It became borderline dangerous and required hospitalization. I would ask to fortify the young man and lift up the family to have compassion and love and forgiveness during the present and coming trials.

Step son came home from the hospital yesterday after they removed the staples from the skin grafts. His donor site(his back) and his right ankle (the area that was burned down to the tendon) are both causing a lot of pain which is somewhat controlled with pain medicine but not completely. He is finding hard to do much of anything (sleep, walk, stand, sit) with out pain. Home health comes today to start PT with him.

Thanks for the prayers
