Are they going to have white counter tops? I don’t much care for it either way, but I feel white counter tops would be a must with that.

Nice work though Dave!

I was just going to comment on that as well. Cyndie's got some beachy stuff that looks like that but they are accents, not murals. Ugh!

That might be the truest statement on this forum.  I’ll paint a pile of dog crap blue and tell them it looks great if that’s what they want.

When I talk to customers about paint, I will flat out refuse to colormatch certain colors.  You can't go wrong with black, white on white always looks good too, but I'm not going to try and colormatch your pewter colored truck.  It's just not a good idea.

Nothing wrong with a pewter truck.  It's just to much when you paint the bumper that color too.  And the color match never looks right, especially on a truck going on 15 years old, sitting out in the sun with faded paint.

Not sure if you are looking for New New... but we were looking for a nice leather set for our living room and ran across these people. This is the set we purchased. Looked new and never sat in.

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/fud/d/4pc-pottery-barn-style-leather-sofa/6803178689.html

They are a staging company for high end houses so they buy high end furniture and use it for their staging business and then sell it at a big discount. You might have the same types of companies in your area if you don't mind not new.

I just typed in staging sofa in CL and several pop up. I did search Denver and slim pickins so maybe not an option there unless you contact the companies directly.

I have a bunch of Italian leather sofas I purchased in 2000

Cowhide in that golden tan saddle bag color. After all these years, not one single rip or tear. My plan is to have the cushions restuffed and move the things down to the cabin on the farm and if I ever get over that NFL debacle, watch Bengals games down there after a long day of bush-wackin' with some chili brewin in the background...

In staying with the MADE in USA camp, I bought Arizona Leather going on ten years and never had a problem, lifetime guarantee even the cushions.  I sat on one with a screw driver and punched a hole, they cam to my house, picked up the the whole chair, repaired, and brought it back NO CHARGE.

Well, unfortunately it was lazy boy (all we purchased so far is living room, main items). This amounted to a very large sectional and a couple recliners. I’ve had good luck with the recliners in past with lifetime warranty on mechanical. We do have the extended 3 yr on everything so we will see.

The total quote for first floor (kitchen, dining and living room) was more than I cared to spend and the only items they had in stock I could actually look at were the three we purchased.

Our largest expense is going to be the 6 chairs for the bar and the 6-8 for the table. Thinking of doing a tall dining table that way bar chairs can be pulled over to dining table for cards etc when we have a lot of guests over.

Well, today was our first day visiting colleges with our oldest Baylee. We drove 40 mins to Greeley, CO. Which is the home of UNC (University of Northern CO) homes of the division I bears. Nice campus with many confused individuals, a normal college setting. We may visit a couple more however Baylee seems to have her mind set on this university to gain her nursing degree following in mommas foot steps. Place seemed to have many opportunities and we think she will be eligible for quite a bit of scholarship funds.

Cooked up some deer heart at the station. Non of our wives will eat it so everybody brings theirs in to cook it at work. Soaked in Moore’s for a few hours then breaded in flour and corn meal.

Maybe I should stick to working on cars. I found the sewer, copper water pipe, and power conduits all in the same trench a foot away from the building. Took me a while to find the phone wires... they were in the power conduit.
Started trenching with the mini x and 5 feet away hit another conduit with 2 coms cables. Don't know where they go or what they are for....then 2 more feet hit a pvc line ...main water, in the middle of the driveway. It goes under the slab that we poured last year, and that's where it broke off... under the slab. What a mess.

Rotten luck Ken. Wife and I are having an afternoon date. We’ve got three deer in the freezer so if we can get one more we’ll make the whole thing into sausage and jerky. She’s in a tree stand near a trail that goes to a food plot and I’m overlooking this hillside that was logged last summer.

Boil the tongue then cut it off. Most of the skin was already off the heart. They cleaned it pretty good at the processor.
On the heart I used some Big Boy BBQ rub abd some spicy brown mustard. Then vacuum packed it until tomorrow.

I spent a good part of my day installing a My Push Cart remote starter on my 2006 Duramax and replacing the transmission selector cable on the same truck. I couldn't get my phone to focus so all the pictures look like a big black blob. The start went in great and works fantastic only had to disconnect one connector and attach a ground. Now the selector cable wasn't bad but the wire loom above the steering column was a pain but the easy in which the truck shift now is amazing. Back sure doesn't like be turned and twisted like that.

Fixed the water line, continued to dig towards the property line, and found another abandoned conduit filled with dirt, then after that, an old burn pit. Spent 2 hours picking up broken glass since I have dogs.

Ken, sounds like you need to pick up a couple brass rods and start witching the area before digging. I don't think the one-call would have helped much since most were not utility owned stuff.

Cold day to be smoking meat but I hot both beer and pork bacon done and the heart and tongue done. I had to abandon the stick smoker and rely on the gas. I had to do it inside because of the wind. I think I had an air flow problem. I just couldn't keep the fire hot enough.

Ken, it isn’t witchcraft. My father in law who owned an excavation company for years pulled that trick on field tiles on more than one farm I owned. First time he pulled out the rods I laughed & about 15 mins later I was sold! Get someone who knows what they are doing and it’s amazing!

Ken, bend a couple coat hangers, handle with a 90* bend and a foot or so straight wire. Hold them straight out in front of you and depending on how you hold them they will either cross or turn away from each other following the path of the pipe. Set a steel bar or water pipe on the ground and give it a try before you discount it as witchcraft. I have found culvert pipes under the road, water lines, phone cables, tools lost in the grass and even a small gold nugget and dowsed two water wells. I am not into ghost hunting and other dark side stuff so can not and will not speak to those practices. Don't know how or why they work but they sure do.
