Charles, close to 20k... I think it was 125 yards iirc, and the going rate for assembly (only) is 15k.
Got it squared and ready for tin today, along with a sunburn. We must have missed the blizzard, although it was pretty windy.
...and I don't care if I ever see another 5/8" bolt.

Looks good Ken.

I pressure washed the house to prep for paint. Laid the last pallet of sod and welded the handle back on the pressure washer cart. Then cranked the hot tub to 103. Now having a nip and about to eat the beef and chicken fajitas I made

Spring weather update from Minnesota. Ugh. Nice little blizzard.

Daughter called from school in Tampa saying she was going to beach. It was 85. Hmmm

Glad to see you made it safely Nate - hopefully not too many butt pucker moments, though by the looks of the truck and trailer, I'm thinking there were a few!

Thought all the fires were gone TRN? I just got another mag of "7".

That is a lot of work to grow plants off grid and a good looking shop with a built jeep?

I took the boys to a camporee this weekend just 15min form home on private property. Was gourgeous all weekend and raining now, reminded me of the "Hide"

Took a couple pics with the drone too. I need a better one for sure,,,,,,,,,,,,

This little valley was setup for shooting too! Had a nice rest as you came in right near where the flags were. Several plywood area up and an 12" plate at around 250yrds. Wanted to break out the AR.

Here was the entrance and you can just see the rest in front of the tent, then the 100yd target. 250 was on a hillside but not in any pictures.

Love those hills in that drone shot JR.

So yesterday I mowed and then we had bible study and the. I power washed the last piece of the main house. The gable above the side which is above a section of 4/12 metal roof. Re learned how slipperly metal roofs are when wet.  It’s
About a 10 ft long roof area and I was standing near the top one second and the next second I was flat on my belly sliding off the roof. With nothing to grab to stop my fall the only thing I could think of was to point my toes to catch the gutter to keep me from going off the side. Fortunately it worked. So then I came up with plan B.

Yeah. Seems legit.

It worked

Yeah I figured it was off road. Just was thinking if there’s any left in the lines when you hook back up to the tank... though the odds of being pulled over and the tank dipped are probably next to nothing. Was red just what you had available/easier than siphoning some out of the tank?

Na, just a little country store with only two pumps and somebody else was at the other one. I figure there will be so little left in the return line that it won’t change the color of the whole tank.

Today I’ll be painting the main house at the hide errr....spa and resort.

Got my airless sprayer back from my dad and pray that it works. Going to shoot sherwin WIlliams emerald coating this time.  They claim it is superior to duration, mainly in fade resistance.

Opened an account and got a pretty decent discount off homeowner pricing. 10 gallons of paint for the house and 4 gallons of the oil based DTM coating for the shipping container came to a bit over $600

Got a breakfast meeting a couple of calls but took some PTO to get
It done since my daughters final dance recital is this weekend.

RN, Looking for an opinion here
Talking about spraying an oil based enamel...
Do you think an airless could be used to spray Chief?
Logistically, it would be a PITA to drag a generator, hooked to an air compressor of adequate size, all sitting in a field and having to drag around sufficient lengths of air line to spray a 60 foot long behemoth.
Although in actuality, I plan to do it in stages.
Likely main boom first in Cat yeller, then counter weight in black, then UC in dark gray (along with the cab), then finish with painting the body cat yeller and of course overspraying everything else sufficiently!

Don, why not rent a trailer style portable air compressor. If you pickup on Sat morning and return on Monday am it would give you two days for price of one & you could probably do the whole thing. Have prerangers working ahead wiping things down with acetone then you follow behind.

Don, do you have an airless? I think it would work just fine for Chief and any other task you have out there and they don't really pull that much power. You have the generator or just pull near the few outlets you have at the hide.

Nice thing is little overspray with them and you can spray at any angle.

Dona good airless will spray anything you need.

Proabably rent one. A nice one will set you back about $750 to buy

2000 psi, no air. Little overspray.

Snowfall Bobby?

Yea snow...

Yeah, Bobby's area and north a bit got pounded with snow over the weekend.  Some places saw 33" of a very heavy dense snow.

The 33" of snow isn't far from me. I'm sure I'm a little over 29" but I'm not measuring down to the exact amount. I was anticipating having to go into work yesterday but they shut the company down. The city and the surrounding areas declared snow emergencies and said only drive for emergencies, especially since there were multiple roofs collapsing from the snow loads. So I got to stay home and study for Scuba course this weekend.

I knew they got hit, but 29" is almost beyond belief.

Just spend the time you need to do a complete clean out and some pump lube every time you put it away and it should last a good long time.

My unit is now 15 years old and has not had any needed repairs. Its a Titan 440i that I bought from Sherwin Williams in 2003 when I re sided and painted my lake house.  Since then I painted some built in cabinets and some other cabinets and my dad painted his house with it.  Today, I disassembled and cleaned it and started shooting the main house about 2:30pm.  I was done about 7pm.  9 gallons of emerald sherwin williams paint and enough overspray that I looked like I had a spray tan on my face.

I'll pressure wash the casita and finish caulking it and then I'll get it shot soon.  then its just going to be the trim to finish.

Not hard to clean out. I lubed mine and 10 years later it was fine. The spray gun is easier than an air sprayer is. Mine is a Spraytech 3000psi with a dual piston.

They make gas powered to if you think it will be just for the farm.

Yeah JR.  Anytime I loan something out I want to give it a good once over before using it again.  Dad did OK, but I think he tried to use thinner to clean out water based paint.

When I worked in landscaping we had a bunch of gas powered airless sprayers. Mostly wheeled units. We used them to paint athletic fields (114 soccer and football alone) and buildings both. They worked great as long as they were cleaned and lubed in accordance with the manual at the end of the day. If they weren’t taken care of through, you might as well haul them to the scrap yard.

Not hard to clean out. I lubed mine and 10 years later it was fine. The spray gun is easier than an air sprayer is. Mine is a Spraytech 3000psi with a dual piston.

They make gas powered to if you think it will be just for the farm.
I was specifically looking at the HF model because of low cost

Dunno, because I have owned them in the past, but they did not last

Might have driven over and crushed the one I owned, can't remember. I just know it is not a part of my tool repertoire at the moment.

Trying to set a better example for the girls and not fiddle with the phone while driving.

Picked this headset up today.

Will update performance when I get a chance to use it.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Took my freightliner in to the muffler shop to get the exhaust done on the generator. I had them put 2 mufflers on. I got it home and now it runs like crap. I'm going to have to play with it some on Sunday. I'm going to remove the second muffler. Might be too much restriction.

Can you run the pipe straight up on the back of the cab? With an oversize pipe it will stay cool and have no water issues.
