Got a pick off refresher this morning.

Then, as a class, built another high line.

I have spent the last 11 days packing/throwing away/moving furniture from my grandfathers house that has been lived in for the last 50+ years along with stuff that has been hoarded for 30 years prior to that.

I recieved a set of silver maple leaf gold pattern china that dates back to some where in the early early 1900's which belonged to my great grandparents.  There was actually 2 sets that were put together, and most all of it is there.

I also was gifted this table that can extend to 12 feet and itbhas 6 chairs that come with it as well.

The table came from my grandmothers aunt which she (the aunt) was given as a wedding present somewhere around the turn of the century.

I have 1 more piece, but i have to uncover it before i can get a pic.

Did a little cleanup in the garage/ shop yesterday.  I've got to front bumpers on hand I need to get rid of.  If anybody here is interested in them drop me a line and we can discuss.

Front for 2003-2007 OBS Chevy 2500/3500HD.  I just finished this one up a couple weeks ago but the guy no longer wants it.  If desired I could cut some fog light openings into this for somebody.

Front for a 2011-2013 Chevy 2500/2500HD.  I originally cut the steel for this one a couple years ago for my personal truck.  I never got around to building it before I sold the truck though.  The steel is cut for the bumper in the CAD model.  I thought I had also cut it for a winch but I would need to go back and check.  The pic on a truck is just a similar bumper for comparison.  This one is not build so I could send it out as a kit or build it up for somebody.  I also have the tubing formed for this to run a second bar between the high and low beam lights.

Those are some nice bumpers, too bad they aren’t for an 86 K5 Blazer. Maybe the first one would fit the 04 2500 Ecpress Family van, it would make people think twice before pulling out in front of me.

I am not sure as to the make, i know my grandfather repaired/tightened them all up about 20 years ago as well as had them re-upholstered.

Let me take a look and see what/if i can find anything.

Had to buy a new reciprocating saw to cut out the rotted rafter tails since I burnt up my old one last year.  I ordered the Ryobi One+ recipe saw with battery and charger from HD for $99.  I like the Ryobi gear for what I do around the house.  Ordered it yesterday and it arrived today with free shipping. Came with the 4Ah battery, so I should get some good run time out of it.

I still have a few ryobi tools. They just seem to fill a few spots that PC does not.

Bear, do you have anything for GM square bodies?

My GMC bumpers are a little different then the Chevy.  It can be modified rather easily to work but still a little different.  Most of the other manufacturers just leave some bigger gaps in some places on those to make them interchangeable.

I've had a few people ask about the Vans.  I always tell them to bring it over and I will take a look at it to see what I can do.  I've never had anybody show up though.  I would guess that my 1/2 ton bumper would be close but idk.

I haven't done anything pre-99. Again, I've been asked but nobody ever shows up when I tell them I would need to take a look at their truck.

Sorry I should have posted more.

The guy running blue top has been a previous employee at redtop. He answers the phone when you can and does things the same way as redtop but less$ same promise.
Also ordered new window motors and tracks from 1A auto.

I’ll post an install on them laterz

I figured out my leaking rear axle tonight.   No loctite on the bolts so they were finger loose and making a mess of my wheel.  Cleaned and applied some fast RTV and Loctite to stop the leak

Heard a click in the front of the dmax yesterday and found the left front hub was wobbling about an inch. I carry a spare (upper ball too) so it was done in about 1.5 hours. It probably took longer getting tools and putting them away than the actual work. The hub is cheap, the good ones will go on with the lift.

These are still the stock pads and rotor on this thing, 150k. Guess I don't brake that hard!

Figured out why my axle seal was leaking

When I had a shop replace my bad axle job the must have forgot loctite on these bolts.  They were backed out a half inch or better.  Glad I still have my axle shaft in place

Great weather here the past two days. Finally dried out enough to take care of the potholes in my driveway

Dragged it about 20 times.

Turned out pretty good. Will need to do it several more times after driven on a few times.

So painted the casita today. Sprayed 7 gallons of Emerald Sherwin Williams. And then 1 gallon of a different color on the dormer. Now testing some trim colors.  Smoked 2 packs of chicken thighs and my daughters brought friends up to hang in the pool.

Good day so far. Dancing by the fire pit to the first song my wife and I danced to 31 years ago. No video.

Couple. Months ago I put an ad on craigslist for free removal of old campers. My idea was to get a crappy old camper and turn it into a brooder house for baby chicks. Well I scrapped that idea but forgot to take the ad down. A Couple weeks ago I get a call from a guy. His mother has this old 5th wheel she wants gone. So sure what the heck I will take it. 38 footer. 2as units. Working fridge. Washer and dryer. Roof leaked in one spot but not horrible.

I got to test out the truck it worked really well. Couldn't hardly tell it was back there. It stopps so much eaiser.

I called a buddy of mine who is looking a cheap 5th wheel. I have to check out a couple things and he said consider it sold. Not bad for a days work.

Is that one of those DR rakes?

Yep. DR Rake. Craigslist find. I have two old Duramax Batteries for weight and electric. It used to have a cord attached to lower and raise. I now have a remote that will move it up and down. Works pretty good. Charge will last all summer.

I have a three point hitch accessory kit for my tractor that is still in the box. I normally have the backhoe attached. Hopefully the snow drifts are gone for the season so I will put the FEL bucket back on and the backhoe for the summer.

Mixed and poured a little concrete yesterday.  Last fall I built a lean-to on to the back of the garage.  I have also been working on separating and insulating the shop portion of my garage from the rest of the garage.  I plan to relocate the air compressor in the lean-to to save some floor space in the garage and also reduce the noise in the garage when the compressor kicks in.

Next weekend I hope to get the compressor moved out here and wired/ plumbed in.

The boss thought it might be funny to trap me in the outhouse.  Little to his surprise I. Walked out while he was on the phone.  It was really funny walking up behind him as he giggled at himself for his practical joke.   “ what ya lookin at there guy” oh I just trapped Dave in the out house”.  “ no you didn’t “.  This guy

Then spent the day working in a 9000sqr shop they started months before I started at the company.  Lots of room for activities
