The right to free speech, the right to bear arms, the right to a fair trial, the right to vote, the right to practice your faith....Permit: A violation of your rights if regarding the above and many others. I agree lets call things what they are.
It's certainly a right...under a variety of Amendment's 15th,19th,23rd,24th,26th come to mind. My memory is not spot on with age, and it's been a while since 6th grade when I learned all that.
Example: When I was young I use to be able to have a gun in my gun rack in the back of my pickup and drive it to High School... no harm no foul. Now you would get thrown out of school and called all sorts of names.
good points. believe it or not my mrs. stewie hates how the government draws everything down the lines of sex and race. she does not play identity politics one bitThis wasn't about identify politics, it was about her right to vote. Without the 19th Amendment she wouldn't be able to. But then again... she might not need, want, or actually vote... cool for her... but maybe not for other females. But now that you got me thinking... maybe that was when all of this went off the rails... Hmmmm
Even here if they tried to discipline my kid for a casing I would tell them show me the law or code. My boyd have done it but I advise them not to. Many of the so called laws now are based on feelings vs intent.I remember the days of throwing the 10/22 in the window. Then my dads was stolen and its been out of sight since then.Speaking of guns in schools, have you guys heard about the range in a school basement in NY? Been fine for around 50 years but someone "heard" about it and made a big stink. They were going to be shut down but I believe they got a reprieve.
I don't leave mine in the window personally...that said, it's a unwritten rule you don't mess with a fellas pickup or his weapons. It's just not healthy to do so....and honestly I can't remember the last time I heard of someones guns being stolen from a truck. I will have to ask some local LEO's next time I see one, and see if that's really a thing. A indoor school range would make sense back in the day...especially in a city.
