And mounted all of that together along with some washers and standard nuts onto the axle shaft

Then I just added a few spot welds to the steel axle and the plain nuts to hold everything in place.

Now the plan is to place some peanut butter on top of the tube in the center.

Then fill the bottom of the bucket with about 6"-8" of water, then pour out oiled sunflower seed on top of the water.

Finish bu placing a ramp up and onto the bucket rim to invite the critters to take that first perilous step...then: Bon voyage! See ya in mouse heaven!

The suspended and free floating bolts keep things oriented in the right position to continue spreading murderous temptation to as many offenders who feel it is OK to invade my space!
