I drilled holes just above the handle holes

Then cut two sections of conduit PVC tubing that spanned the space minus about 1/4" and drilled a hole in the center of that

Then comes two more holes about 1/2"-3/4" outboard from the center hole.

Through those holes, I placed two 5/16" bolts capped with nyloc nuts and adjusted same until I was left with something that would return to "about-level" when disturbed.

And mounted all of that together along with some washers and standard nuts onto the axle shaft

Then I just added a few spot welds to the steel axle and the plain nuts to hold everything in place.

Now the plan is to place some peanut butter on top of the tube in the center.

Then fill the bottom of the bucket with about 6"-8" of water, then pour out oiled sunflower seed on top of the water.

Finish bu placing a ramp up and onto the bucket rim to invite the critters to take that first perilous step...then: Bon voyage! See ya in mouse heaven!

I would venture to say that there are too many parts for mice to grab onto let alone sink their claws into the pvc.....?

I recommend this...... https://www.automatictrap.com/shop/a24/

I'll wager that the mouse is capable of walking out on those ridgid rods. :)

Has never happened yet, use one while hunting just to keep the little critters in check. Don put way too much thought into the ones he built. He even commented when this was brought up before.

I think that is possible as well.

But I think it is also likely that Don sprayed those steel rods and the PVC with dry film lubricant...He-He-he.

I also thing while the retched beast is chowin on the peanut butter he just may have a misstep...

    Can anyone here Ker-plunk!
