I know of a state park in northern Indiana that has primitive cabins you must paddle in to, again not right area but close on other things.

I think I know the perfect place. My sister opened up a bed and breakfast. It's a cabin, like really old they redid sitting on 20 odd acres, but get this: It backs up to the Daniel Boone national Forest! Like hundreds of square miles of wilderness. The shots she sends me from there is breathtaking, and it's essentially their back yard!

Nate-I love the new slogan. I’ve looked on basic searches with keywords :secluded,private,rustic,cabin,etc etc. some on airbabdb vrbo and the like. Found a few on Vancouver Island and Washington State. A little far though!

Don, that place looks awesome! Do they live on the property as well? That’s a little far for a weekend as well but a 4 day so maybe so! We are figuring on doing the bourbon trail soon. Maybe that would be a stop on our trek.
