Gas mask
« on: October 09, 2014, 02:37:31 AM »
I'm looking at some gas masks

NBC, good filters

That round eye matrian invader Russian mask scared the heck out of me

You'd get shot just for wearing it

I was looking at Serbian Army surplus masks today. Pricing in about $55 with a decent filter and way better (Human like) ergonomics

Good? Not so good?

Better option?

Who sells Armee surplus masks and can we civies get the good filters?

I've seen masks at Fleet Farm in the military surplus section.
So, Bobby...being the calculating trained warrior NCO that you are.  Take the appropriate action, Execute!

I've got a couple of genuine Navy issue MCU-2P gas masks, with nice carrying cases too. Seen em go for up to $200 each on various sites, I think there are some for $40 on ebay right now. They use reasonably priced standard Nato filters. Pretty good field of vision, filter on the left side so you can shoot a rifle.(right handed anyway)

I remember that one...But we had some strange batman looking one in the aviation. It was specially designed to give one hot spots, a migraine, and eventual death. I can't say I ever wore it in earnest, preferring a quick death over hours of suffering and dying anyway.
