So I was in Indiana today and some of you are aware and some are not my Dad passed away day after Thanksgiving.

After the graveside service this morning I had lunch with my remaining aunt and two cousins. On that side of the family those are the reunions. Back story is my grandad was a very wealthy business man and large land owner. He was the tri state fertilizer and seed dealer back in the day so everyone knew him. My dad had hauled and delivered tons of product with an old 1.5 ton ford growing up. As a vehicle “guy” and last with the family Teegardin name I was interested in where this truck had gone. I assumed it was still in the family as I recall it being acquired by someone after his passing so I asked.

Photo is not of actual truck as I haven’t laid eyes upon it in over twenty years. It is currently painted black as in the photo I was told. It is currently running as “some work” was just performed on it last year. When I last saw it after my grandpa fully restored it (in around 1990) it was a dark hunter green. My aunt and her husband have it in their possession and she gave me her word when it comes time to pass it on it will go to me. They only have one daughter and she will not want it. It is powered by a flat head v8. Thought I would share, if and when I receive possession I will update this post. Interesting note my Dad was born the year granddad purchased this truck.

Oh the flat head v8. I have one in a 50 Merc parked in the garage that  hasn't moved in 15 years or so. Have two water pumps rebuilt siting on a shelve. The front motor mounts are part of the water pumps and I don't want to have to send them out to be rebuilt and lost forever and the car sitting with a blocked up motor.

KensAuto:
Sorry for your loss Shawn.

Did you forget to post a pic?

There’s a link to a generic pic posted.

Bob, copy all of that. My shop neighbor has several hot rods with them. He has a local motor builder he uses and has had great luck with over the years. Including keeping them cool which can be a major issue.
