Having trouble loading picks of the fried bologna and egg sammich with tomato. And the hen in a basket with sausage for the daughter.

I had a cup of coffee, and a couple small doughnuts. No pics.
-
I had some scotch eggs, with a big glass of ice water and 1 everything bagel toasted with a little butter. oh and I baked it at 400 deg for 30 minutes. the frying part didn't really excite me.

I see no bacon, but do see tomatoes?!?! For shame!

In honor of my departed grandfather. Fried bologna sammich. I never saw him eat bacon on a sandwich. Plenty off the plate but never on a sandwich.

Well now I feel bad.
-
No worries, Bobby. Its all good.
My grandfather only made it through the 6th grade but was one of the smartest people I ever knew. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and had some great sayings.
My favorite: "could have been worse... could have been me"
And one of the only people I know that actually liked head cheese.
-
So breakfast consisted of:
1 potato cubed and seasoned with cajun seasonings, 2 scrambled eggs and some mozzarella cheese all hashed up together in a delightful pile covered with sriracha sauce. Washed down with some lowfat chocolate milk, 1 LTR of water and a cup of coffee.
-
Breakfast...one of my favorite meals. Back in February the wife and I changed eating habits (for good) and went full paleo diet (think cave man...nothing processed). By summer (3 months) I had dropped 30lbs and have keep it off.
Breakfast for me consists of 3 scrambled eggs from the BYCs and a chopped up sausage (100 natural no nitrates etc) with some Herdez salsa Verde. Ill snap a pick tomorrow morning!

2 bowls of quick oats, cup of coffee and some water.

Tate's Spanish eggs benedict.
SOP until you get to the hollandaise sauce.
English muffin, split toasted and buttered
Canadian bacon fried on both sides like baloney on top of muffin halfs
poached egg on top
Spanish hollandaise:
2 large egg yolks
3/4 stick of butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp fresh black pepper
1-1/2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp fine chopped cilantro
1 seeded and finely diced jalapeño
1/2 very ripe avocado diced
In a blender, combine egg yolks, salt, pepper, and lime juice. pulse a few times to combine
in a small sauce pan, slowly heat butter, constantly swirling the pan until the butter is completely melted and foaming
with the blender on low, slowly drizzle in the melted butter until it is completely incorporated
speed up the blender to medium and add the cilantro, jalapeño and avocado and blend until completely smooth
return to sauce pan, covered on very low heat until ready to serve. I lid up and tuck it in the oven on keep warm cycle to hold it for up to an hour. if it starts to get too thick, you can whisk in a little water
throw a little cilantro and Mexican cotija cheese on there and you're eating in style
Edit: this was the wife's plate, and she wanted a slice of cheese on there, so of course I obliged her.

Had it the last 2 days. Its quick, fast and is even better with a cup or 2 of coffee with some raw honey (also bought locally).

2 small potatoes, hand cut by me. 2 eggs scrambled and topped with sriracha.

Yes, yes, but how did you prepare said small potatoes?
-
Yes, yes, but how did you prepare said small potatoes?
Dropped them into the hot pan that was awaiting them taters by getting some extra virgin olive oil nice and hot. Once they started to cook, I herded them into a corner of the pan then liberally coated them with some cajun seasonings. Once the taters reached optimum levels of both tasty and texture, I poured the egg mixture into the pan and proceeded to mix it all together in a tasty tasty pile. Then once the eggs were cooked to my exacting standards, I unceremoniously dumped them onto my paper plate, and gave them a generous topping of both Sriracha and a bit of ketchup.
Then made a cup of coffee with my Keurig machine.

It all looked good until I saw those "cheese" grits.
-
Cool!
Took mine out this morning as well...IHOP...
-
IHOP rocks. We got back about 12. Clocked about 14 miles. She passed out on the couch. I went to work on the 7 20ft tall crepe myrtles and gave them a big hair cut from a 14 ft step ladder. Just got done and almost all of it on the utility trailer to take to the burn pile. I'm a worn out puppy. ABout to shower and get some dinner and pass out.
-
Went for a run this morning, so I rewarded myself.
4 SMALL "European" style waffles
8 Oz Greek yogurt
Coffee
-
Crunchy peanut butter (since non crunchy isn't worth my time) and strawberry jam wraps.
-
so I had some left over pulled pork from my military retirement spread and thought I would make some pulled pork breakfast tacos.
I started with a very liberal schmear of a bacon onion dip (I really like this stuff cold, because I use it like a cream cheese type spread.). here is the link to the restaurant that I this recipe from.
https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=george+and+the+dragon
and here is the actual recipe for this wonderfully addictive gluttonous concoction.
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/george-and-the-dragons-bacon-onion-dip.html
after I reheated the pulled pork that was not sauced, I added a little of ROXY's S.C. Mustard Sauce.
http://www.thesmokering.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1359
(http://i.imgur.com/jDpAYljh.jpg)
I then fried up 2 eggs to a little over easy. (I love the runny yoke!)
I then added them to the top of the tacos. my avocado was bad so I didn't get to add a cool creamy ingredient / texture.... :o

sorry for the bit of blurr on the pics, I guess I have to clean the lens on then phone cam.

I vote we make this real man thing, real! Like with an office and staff, and with Nate as the chef. We'd just come to work to eat. In the hours between meals, we could write mindless stuff on this web site!
Who's wit' me?

I'm in if you'll triple our pay, only fire us on the third monday of the month, and Nate cooks over an open fire twice a week! Last request, the parking area needs to be lined with mulch and at least one Prius down-range.

HUEVOS RANCHEROS (ranchers eggs)
There is a place called "the new clock" here in the northeast portion of el paso, tx.
This is a pretty good greasy spoon breakfast joint, and one of the things that I love from here is their Huevos Rancheros plate.
so this wonderful easter morning, seeing as I am alone, I thought I would attempt a re-creation of this.
we started of with 1 layer of a small flour tortilla that had a schmear of some spicy re-fried beans, red enchilada sauce from Hatch, NM, a sprinkle of onions and cheese. there were 3 layers to that.
next, I heated up the #8 cast iron with a little bacon grease and fried up 3 eggs over easy / medium
(http://i.imgur.com/yHrjkbhl.jpg)
slid those on top of the tortilla stack, sprinkled a little cheese on top and put a good spoon full of some homemade salsa on the side.
and here is the plated shot with a glimpse of the inside of this wonderful concoction.
here is the fork shot as well.

Breakfast - Break your fast.... the whole not eating overnight thing.
And now you know. ;D

Sunday I made biscuits and gravy with a couple eggs sunny side up.
Monday morning I had a couple leftover biscuits and gravy. I love leftovers.
-
I lucked out with the wifey making blueberry pancakes this am!
-
Probably going to have leftover biscuits and gravy. Should possibly learn to cook for only one person... oh well leftovers are a plus.
-
It's a good thing you love leftovers. Do you have a vacuum sealer? Those things are handy when you cook a big batch and vacuum seal individual portions. You can freeze them and have a variety

I do have a vacuum sealer. I buy marinated chicken breast or flavored brats (Whiskey peppercorn, and etc..) and then vacuum seal them.

Leftover pork tenderloin chops; seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, seasoning salt, all mixed together with some white rice and topped with Sriracha.

We had a breakfast potluck Friday. Little bit of an unfair advantage with the commercial kitchen, but we had lots of really good food. I made a breakfast pizza with peppered sausage gravy, spicy Italian sausage, scrambled eggs and bacon, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. There were two of them and they did not last 5 min with the warehouse and shop techs hitting the lines first.
-
made 30 breakfast burritos to put up in the freezer.
30 burrito size tortillas
3.5 - 4 doz eggs scrambled
4 - 5 green bell peppers (fine diced and sautéed)
4 - 5 red bell peppers (fine diced and sautéed)
3 - 4 yellow onions (fine diced and sautéed)
3 - 4 lbs sausage browned
whatever shredded cheese you want to put in
I made these with no jalapenos, because some folks have sensitive spice meters.
-
That looks great. I love breakfast burritos. So much so my kids got sick of then for school. Ha. But they're the perfect breakfast grab and go "sandwich"

Homemade are so much better, as I'm sure you're aware, but it is always one more step in your cooking process. The lady who taught me how can make a batch in about 10-15 minutes from start to finish.... being that me and the rolling pin are still learning how to be friends, it takes me a bit longer! But when we do anything with tortillas, I just start cooking 45 minutes earlier, we sure love em!

The coffee and banana were enough, lately I've been drinking a weight loss shake mixed with powered dark chocolate peanut butter and almond milk for breakfast at work and a banana. However its Thursday and it's Biscuits and Gravy day and I've missed the last month and a half of them, except for one day where I got there right before they threw the remaining food away.

Lavender; used for my wife's soap and lotions and essential oils... oh you mean tamagoyaki?! it's a rolled or folded Japanese omelet with dozens of layers. the pan used to make it is curiously similar to the picture of your griddle. https://www.google.com/search?q=tamagoyaki+pan&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjIjqX7sq_XAhVHyVQKHfI1AEQQ_AUICygC&biw=1440&bih=770#imgrc=pJ0XFtR7SkYstM:&spf=1510158543342
They are a unique texture for sure, but pretty good street food when you're leaving a bar in downtown seattle at 1:30am, 23 and starving.

TRN, I believe tater is talking about the "herbs de Provence" you referenced.....it has lavender flowers in it, and to some folks they don't like the flowery taste in their food..............

Nate, you got it. I was also referencing the shape and size of his skillet, (i know, probably breaking a men's room rule there ) and how it resembled a Japanese omelet pan. That work at the retirement site should be helping, especially once you start hanging hardiboard. Up & down ladders all day will trim you right up.

Wife made breakfast this morning. She is a great cook. Me not so much. I’m doing the no carbs right now so eggs it is.
And for all of you gourmet hot sauce aficionados I had Taco Bell hot.

My go to hot sauce for eggs, and just a bunch of other stuff is Valentina’s. You can get a big 32 ounce bottle of it at Wally World for only about $1.50.

That, Cholula, and Tapatio are my go to. Siracha doesn't go on MX food.

Yes it does, you're right. I was just testing out my new "Haydel's Siracha Bobby call." works pretty good!

Wife and Daughter like cheesy grits with poached eggs, green onion and Tapatio or Frank's. That's good "workin' all day til lunch" stuff right there.

Regular spaghetti. I just finished the 2nd dish of leftovers for lunch today. Although, I do have a can of Chef Boyardee spaghetti and meatballs in my drawer at work as a backup.
As for the girlfriend, I've been single since September of last year.

My daughter made a cinnamon roll for the family for breakfast today. That’s a 18” lodge cast iron pan it was baked in.
Let’s just say the family was happy and satisfied. It was good.

More like brunch than breakfast.
I gave my hand a try to a north african dish called shakshuka. This will be put into the rotation of breakfast/brunch dishes!

Seems to be screaming for some picante or hot sauce.
So, question...
If I showed up for breakfast, and you served me that dish...Would you be insulted if I splashed hot sauce on it?
-

When the lady says she wants crab Benedict for breakfast, you make her crab Benedict!

Real Crab? :likebutton:
What kind?
I'm a bit of a Crab connoisseur...
Born in Maryland and all that...

It was king crab that was frozen from our christmas crab feast. The 8 of us easily cleaned 12lbs worth, so we had about 3lbs left over.

I don't even want to know how much that was! I'm paying around $30 a pound for bluefin crab meat, which is the best and what I always eat. Having said that, King Crab is pretty good too, just expensive
-
The only crab I have eaten is Dungeness. Fresh caught, cooked shell on and cooled immediately. Cleaned and served. Frozen is ok but fresh from pot to table is best.
Problem now is the area of Puget Sound we live near has been closed for years. Need to load up the gear and head to an open area and catch a few for dinner.
-
I prefer fresh caught like you said bob, but for the price i paid at christmas time, there was no way i was going to let that go to waste. i was actually saving it for when i make my cioppino, but due to recent life events, that got pushed off for a while.
