Got a few local report vid's to share. Also picked up a Honda Monkey for my wife to get back into the gravel/dirt experience that she has missed on her Spyder;

As a old guy now at 62 I recommend a "Managed-Recoil Round" (1145fps) for a day at the range with this Bullpup. It helped me with follow up shots. Also the rubber cushion stock cover is nice. Come to think of it I am turning into old deteriorated rubber myself. (YMMV)

Hey guys, any input on this thing? I am looking for something for home use. I started looking at the Mossberg and Remington tactical and came upon one of these local. 14 plus one in the chamber isn't a bad thing and in a short package without the removable mag in the way. Add the front hand grip and I think it would be a nice addition.

I have enjoyed the 870's and 500's for years and I got a good deal on a 2nd,gen KSG a few years back and have gotten use to the design and operation of the bullpup monster. I have an extended tube selector to use the base of the thumb to go from slug to ooB. I like the short design/capacity. I think it may be home/yard tool but not for a day at the range. I still have my Mossberg for re-qual and range.

Sold my current crop of adventure bikes, but lookin at that Africa twin...
Ky back woods riding is great. Have done it every month of the winter. Ice is a problem, but its fun!
Nice write-up!

  I spent a month/1000miles in May with a Honda AT that my close friend left with me to ride and complete a service on.
I rode mostly back road gravel, chip seal and two track. I have pushed it hard on the street with the 50/50 Mitas tires.
It is a great bike and I think Honda has hit the mark with this model. I will be taking it through the WNF ORV trail system for a few rides just to complete my personal evaluation. Riding a bike around that I have not personalized to my needs is tiring. I don't like the Foot Rest, Handel Bars, Seat position, Vertical Twin Motor (no soul) or Hit. Yes, it power wheelies fine.

  The throttle has to much travel. Front Fork Dive during high-speed asphalt breaking is unacceptable. I know someone invented anti-Dive years ago. Everything can be corrected with aftermarket parts and tuning. I just don't have time to re-learn all the DCT clutch/throttle/brake technique that I have developed in 45 years to my liking.

  So If I am not grinning ear to ear inside my helmet and laughing my butt off on the last downhill gravel corner save. I am not having FUN. I have been thrashing three different model DL1000 V-Strom's since 2004 and have a developed a bond that cannot be broken at this time. I am just done playing with the stock set-up Honda.
YMMV

I am located in Hocking Hills, Ohio. Just outside of Logan SR93. In one of the great motorcycle riding areas of Ohio.

Don, Very nice build you got going. You previously mentioned a 50/50 tire. I am on my second set of Mitas E07's. I have completed the eastern half of the (KAT) twice with them and they are now my primary tire. I have not sacrificed any of the asphalt performance I've been accustomed to running a Metzlar Tourance set up. I just mounted a set of E10's for the upcoming March Moto Madness event in Tellico Plains, TN. on 31March. I hope you are ready to ride the (KAT) this season or a portion of it and would keep me in mind. I enjoy the area down in KY.

What a great site. It has great information, fellowship, with God as a foundation. One each Newb here living in Hocking Hills, Ohio since 2010. I am Retired Army with a retired Air Force wife, No children, one 12yo Dog. We are Constitutional Christian Patriots that enjoy all what God has provided to us. Have been a full time motorcyclist and wrench turner since 1974 and just recently completed my 10 year update to my two wheel side of the garage. I replaced my 04 WR450 and a 04 DL1000 V-Strom. Wife rides a Spyder. I have been into the Adventure style riding since 2004. We had a bug-out cabin in the eastern panhandle of WV that we started when we worked in the DC area. We sold it recently since it was hard to keep up while moving around the states looking for our retirement spot.  I am enjoying the two wheel section now but will eventually get around. Hope to meet and ride with this membership.  Brian
