As you can see there in the live shot, Santa & Mrs. Clause appealed to the monster's humanity. It took some negotiating, but with a little catnip and eggnog a deal was struck where the monster will be allowed asylum as long as it pinky swears "never to invade again".

The town suffered no losses. Dang monster is nimble!
