So my wife and I have discussions all the time about whether Obama is a plant to purposely bring on the downfall of the country or whether he is just a liberal progressive ideologue who sees his role to bring as socialist a policy as he can to the country (under the mindset that some how the country will survive). My wife believes he is a plant, I have generally been of the more "he's an idiot" belief although that gets challenged with ever new step he takes.
I saw a discussion of the migrant issue in Europe and one poster cited this quote which I thought was pretty interesting. It doesn't solve where I stand on Obama but it definitely re-frames him or anyone operating similarly (Jihadist cells perhaps?):
It is from Cicero and while he lived almost 2000 years ago it certainly bears repeating:
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear."
