That is good service.

As for headlights, the 2 pack at costco go's on sale for $20 all the time. One of the best ones I have found so far. Yep, AAA batteries but I use rechargeable and always have set charging.

I paid 30 for 3 bits with the discount. The spade was solo.

That is a cool test. I just thought one would burn up.

7907
I would mount a 12ga on one side and a ar on the other right above the Kabota. Joystick aiming, just add a fire button.

They make a lighter duty also but this one has twice the impact (6lb vs 3) and the metal gearbox. Plus it has a trigger varible speed vs the dial on the light duty.

With the coupon it cost the same as the all plastic one.

I had to buy the spade bit, drills and standard bits.

Now if there was just an easy way to get the dirt out of the dang hole!

7909
Came out around in Dec, same with the vacuum.

Meant to post this when I finished up on the foundation. For the space I had this in a must.

I picked up a Bauer SDS MAX hammer drill from good ol HF and it has done its job very well.

My only complaint is it come with NO BITS, so add another $80 to the $130 price.

Got the discounts with them so it didn't hurt as bad. Then I found a coupon for the driver saving another $30.

7911
Then I got this little palm sander and it is a beast. I like it better than my AC stuff and you don't drag the cord around. By using the 1.5ah battery it stays light.

Plus I have found a generic battery that is holding its own so far, just $27 on Ebay.

I am hoping for a good flood light, vs the junk flashlight included in the set.

7912
Besides all the standard tools, I picked up a vacuum and this palm sander during all the Christmas sales.

The vacuum is rated better than the Dewalt and I have not been disapointed at all. Hose is a little short is about all I can complain about. It has the smaller hose and only come with one attachment, but that does rugs and vehicles really good. With the 4ah battery I get a good 20-30 minutes from it.

7913
I spouted about the impact a couple times in the Dewalt thread. But I have a couple more additions to the family and they work great.

So far the 1/2 impact has not let me down. Last big use was for a some 3/8x12 lags for the addition. The regular impacts couldn't handle the big one but killed all the other SDS-Timberlocks. Tried it on a few lugs too. No problems on both the burbs 14mm and the 1101 trailer lugs.

I have also fallen for the Senco Fusion trim nailer. Beside being great on trim and cordless just using the 18v battery (charged twice now). I use it to tack things up before screwing and it does great.

I don't miss driving in the snow. A lot of my raising was in Mn. but I still get a little here going to Reno.

Only had the pleasure of 2 white outs. One was driving to Mn form Kali, hit it going out of SLC. Was in my old 77 Sierra. 2nd was from Reno to here, road was closed but they let me through when I showed my 7 point pass.

7915
So who gets to drive it first, you or the PR?

I can you working that thing all to Heck and back. The couple of K's I run for a few days never missed a beat, and I pushed.

Now remember, that cutter does not work on rocks.

Finished the HVAC today, another hurdle. Nice to have it back.

The space heater was doing OK but the bill was killing me. It drew 1300watts and ran all day sometimes. Thats 31,200 watts a day!!

Yeah, my upstairs has run about 5k so far and pretty much paid for. So being 150sf, plus I am adding a 1/2 bath, figure just 500 there (really) for the 20sf.

I am at about $32sf, but I am doing all the work. Plans cost me an AR build.

Me too, but that is what she wanted.

Onto the HVAC and the insulation. Space heater was doing the job, well still is but my bill was crazy last month.

Finished the foam insulation and roxuled the small wall.

Debating on running the vents out the side vs the roof. Can do either or mode later but running them out by the stairs right now is easy.

I got a Wally Tac light for Christmas from my boy I like. Think it has 600lm output on 2xAA which are always around. I seem to stay away from the AAA lights for all but headlights, just don't seem to last long (battery life)

I have several of the Ebay lights most based on the 18650 battery. I sure like the idea of usb charging too. Some of the single AA flashlights are good too. Some can run either a 1.5 or 3.7 lithium, but still prefer the 18650 format.

Just me but I would lean towards a radial. With the jeep being light and using it on the street it would be better handling. Plus the newer radials are so much better than anything 20 years ago when we all head about the swamper (type) street manners.

I had Mickey Thompsons on my 77 Sierra (36/14-15?) and loved em

I'm failing at being a housewife...

Sad story

Guess I'm not trained or qualified for the position...

I concur with that Don. Just made frozen pasta for dinner.

Guess most of you know I am retired. LEO for 26 years.

Bear, I want to close in my aftermarket bumpers and have 2 to build for the Burb. Another thread for sure,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Like your plan Dave. Sounds like you have it worked out, sure HE will help along the way.

Well, got my tires rotated yesterday and they only did one side? My front tires are wearing a bit funny so I figured put the good ones up front and get an alignment. Look this morning and I have the worn tires on one side and the better on the other, so back to Americas tire to move them around.

Went to the Muir Woods with the scouts. Its a joke, you need to reserve the paid parking or park 1/2 mile away (unless your handicapped or on a bus). Then it is $10 for adults to walk through the woods with a billion other yuppies. I'll take walking in the sierras any time, slow as I am and not pay and be more or less alone.

Only thing I might have done different for a portable structure would have been to use treated plywood for the floor. It's pretty pricey but tough and a solid floor at 3/4" thick. My current shed sitting on treated posts uses this same material.

I was thinking the same.

Yes, I should have done this first but I started it when school was in then. Would have been better for me with the heat also at that time.

It is disrupting my daughter who is an A student, on the track/cross country team and wasn't told to do this until about a month ago anyway.

I was never really worried about the structure as it was. Even though the center wall is supported a little and there is a whole house 2 1/2x24 center beam, there are alsofour 10 inch I beams running the length of the house. One side rests on that and the other on the garage foundation. Between that and the LVLs and the end wall shearing. Plus removing all the weight of the old roof (3 roofs, not shingle layers) I am not concerned.

Here is a scetch showing all the original footings and my additions.

I would secure it too. A hole in each corner down a few feet would do wonders in high winds.

Oh, I know why you ran over the stuff, its the hat.

On another note have you thought about sliding doors? No need to keep 5ft open around them all the time and no stress or sagging. Have it on my shed and love it.

I have one that will help and he is good when he gets going. However getting him there proves to be a challenge sometimes.

Finished all the footings, got the posts set and started to build the floor back up. Had to insulate the HVAC crossover that is located there (had a rat issue long ago).

Yep, no power. Now that I learned it goes through the BCM to the dash, I need to trace in and out. Just haven't had the time lately.

Think its in the wiring from the BCM to the dash. I have other dash lights, the dimmer works, just no dash-4x4 lights.

Just rambling there. I have pulled the dash and the lights work when jumped so it is wiring someplace. I'm thinking a plug for some reason.

I like my Husky to replace the Craftsman. The new ones are bigger for the same price now have the built in plug too.

I wish they made a 24 deep for my mill.

Good choice!

Man don't scare me with all that. Had really none of those issues.

Guess I will pull mine and check that. Still no inst lights, but it all works. Wonder if its a relay or a broken wire from the DIC.
