Im trying to find an appropriate meme of someone losing their mind because they always thought there was a force field around them and they were untouchable...then they get smacked.  Im still waiting on Hilarys moment.

Agreed.  Much like other social and professional hierarchy, there are bosses and underlings. Bosses dont get dirty.  They may be dirty, but they wont touch the ground and pound.

54
Yet another socialist absurdity from the pit of horrors.  I cant even fathom how they think these people will use these funds to pay mortgage or “catch up”.  This no strings attached funds will be used in all the same places welfare checks are.  Shoe show clubs and hair and nails.

Un. Believable. The disparity of the left is blatant and disgusting.

55
Exactly.  These two....fighting against racial injustice....when in fact they create it for two reasons.  Relevence in the eyes of those whom they feel are their followers, and money. Instead of lifting people up, they like so many leftists keep the sheeple down because its the only way to stay in power.  Some folks are waking up, just need more many more.

I mean the left is desperate. This we know. I had a thought last night and felt I’d share.

Is it possible....that the true end of America as we know it would in fact be due to the liberal/communist agenda and their no holds barred attempt to take over?  I have no doubt some would be so willing to do whatever it takes to take complete control. Even if it could destroy the country. I mean think about it. Look at Kalifornia. It’s basically one big failure. Imagine that MO across the nation. I just would not be surprised if a coordinated, last ditch effort were attempted by all the radicals together.  I hate to think that but it is the world we live in. I have a suspicion and a feeling. I’m not saying it would be Red Dawn but I’m positive there are underground rooms full of people searching for ways to do this.

Big pneumatic floating beach tires should work pretty well.  Pretty good for nice grass too!

Speaking of the beach, we just returned from almost a week camping on St. George Island in Eastpoint, Fl.  When I tell you mosquitos were taking over there like an open border...holy smokes!  I have never even been ate up like that.  Our camping buddies just got back to the Okeefenokee Swamp and they said that was nothing compared to this.  Both my wife and 4yo daughter have welps all over even still. Me, well Im too sour anyway so they dont bother me much.  But I also made sure I was hydrated well with rum and whiskey as a precaution.  Figured mosquitoes wouldn’t like that to much.

Needless to say, I got some new toys from a local ACE Hardware including a camp stove gas powered mosquito smoker outer and a bunch of spray you use with a water hose.  Worked pretty well.  Did look like our camper was inside a cloud for a while but hey.  It’s solved the problem about 99%.

Happy Memorial Day to those who served and to those who served ultimately. Thank you all for doing a huge part in ensuring continuity to our extraordinarily great country.  May God look after our soldiers past, present and future. As they do the same for all else.

I am very proud and thankful!

I just may use this tutorial to go ahead and put one on our property.  Much needed storage.

This is so out of control.  How can the leadership not understand how this will affect business.  Oh yes, that’s right.  Same Liberal mindset applied here.  “I dont see them from my gated community bubble”.  “Can’t be all that bad”.  Well lets see how the bottom line is affected then wait for the addendum to all this.  Absurd.

I hope her dad had a heart to heart with her.  Perhaps an apology from her is coming. I understand the pain felt about a project made by so much of your time and effort being senselessly destroyed in seconds.  Was her dad in the truck too? If I had a place for it Id come get it.  It’s still a great ride!

What makes it so special other than LED’s and stainless construction?  What is the attraction?  I cannot see spending that on a grill. But that’s me.  I would personally invest is a green egg and a cedar table for that much.  Bring out the old school Weber for a few hot dogs on the fly.

Nate-I love the new slogan. I’ve looked on basic searches with keywords :secluded, private, rustic, cabin, etc etc. some on airbabdb vrbo and the like. Found a few on Vancouver Island and Washington State. A little far though!

Don, that place looks awesome! Do they live on the property as well? That’s a little far for a weekend as well but a 4 day so maybe so! We are figuring on doing the bourbon trail soon. Maybe that would be a stop on our trek.

I did come across survivalrealty.com. Haha awesome dreaming site!

Great suggestions guys keep me coming!

Mornin fellas.  I have been searching for a weekend getaway place somewhat close to us that’s along the lines of 4wd access only and completely secluded.  Preferably in the mountains of TN and NC.  I am located in Georgia.  Im looking for a private poperty to rent out for short term where I can reset.  Id love to fish, cook, brew strong coffee and sip some great Borbon in the evenings.  Just a disconnected getaway for the wife and I and to show the kids round natures beauty.

All my searches have come up with properties geared towards hot tubs and pool tables.  Ok hot tubs would be nice but certainly not necessary.  Im looking for simple and very private.  There has to be a website or some way to contact people who are in the same mindset.  I find this difficult to come across.  Can anyone suggest a direction?

Thanks all,

Jonathan

Man. Considering, I think the parties involved were very lucky.  I believe some neck stranglin would have been my first thought, after fire protection. Those ground crew were on it tho.

This is great!  It’s a good experience for youngins imo. Just bear in mind you will have visits from the sneaky hungry predators/freeloaders in the animal kingdom, including the very curious neighbor’s dog.  It’s another tough but real life lesson to see what they can do. Makes you mad but c'est la vie.

Certainly don’t mean to be a downer!!!  It’s gonna be great to have eggs that aren’t 40 days old!!  Also a great responsibility tool for kids.

What do you guys think here?

This is how I see it~For decades we have been increasingly Screwed by other nations by paying high taxes on their products yet we charge very little for ours such as fuel, grain and corn. Trump says nah, this is done, eat some of your own crap and the world is having a meltdown.  In my view, Trump is doing just what he said he’d do-Shake Things Up. For (Especially the last 8 years) the last several years we’ve been at the bottom of exporting at our very large expense. Now it may sting at first because we have set in our ways. And no one has been the wiser unless they researched the truth on their own. But this can be a yet another step towards getting back on top.

Agreed Don, if you are directly related to a military service member active or retired you are eligible. I have been a member for over 10 years though my fathers Navy service. Best company I have ever been a part of. They are consistently excellent. That is more than I can say for just about every other company I have ever come across.

I am happy to hear that their situation is turning positive.  I too am a client of USAA and I know my policy would very take care my family.  To me, they are the number one place to go for banking through investments and insurance.

Very happy to hear they will be just fine.  Perhaps they will look into one of the properties on survivor realty.com.  Not to make light of the situation but there are old silo bunkers on there that are really cool.

I, like many others, am a creature of habit. I have enjoyed the flavor of a particular brand of whiskey for the past few years.  However, Ive decided to branch out and see what else I may enjoy.  I have delved into the realm of the somewhat unthinkable, Japanese whiskey.  Ive always thought of the country of being the origin of good rice wine or Saki, which I do enjoy as well.  BUT, from the recommendation of my local store owner, I tried Sensei for a different take. It seemed to have good reviews and had a decent median price that I usually sample from of around $45.  I brought it home and didn’t open it for a few days as the weekend came around. Then, I did a taste taste compared to my usual, Knob Creek.

The differences are absolutely notable on first encounter. The smell is sweeter and simpler, lacking the Smokey notes of American bourbon/whiskey.  This smells more like a scotch.  I tasted the same as the nose already hinted towards.  It’s a lesser complex yet compound flavor.  This is blended malt whiskey, which I have never heard of and explains the scotch flavor.  My overview, this is a very good venture and I plan on sipping more and other choices in the near future.  I highly suggest giving this a try.

~To enjoying new things my fellow gentlemen Patriots.

Gun Control / Re: Trump to Sessions “ban bump fire stocks”

Gotta love Texas.  Laws won’t change anything. People breaking the law won’t suddenly start obeying. Only a good person with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun. The sooner we understand that the sooner we can get to the business of making a difference.

This^

What the left and Libs dont like to talk about is Chicago and LA and anyonther place that has strict gun laws.  They fail.  What wil gun control do here.  Definition of insanity-recreating the same cause expecting a different effect.

After we built our house, one thing I would have done different is run CAT6 along with the flood light wire to each corner of the house for future cameras.  It’s all spray foamed and no way to get wires there now.

I agree, would love to read a review of that nice Lever Action!!

Not today but yesterday I took the camper out of hibernation, cleaned her up, added some red (because night vision is so important) LED lights under the steps and realized I have a 3’ section of drain pipe to replace.  Apparently it froze over the last cold snap. I thought I had it all emptied out.  Cheap old ABS pipe, but Im just happy it didn’t crack above the enclosed belly.  Im tired of taking that off to fix stuff.

Hope to be pulling it somewhere this weekend.

I certainly hope the forward process is smooth.  I know that USAA, who insures our home, will pay for immediate accommodations and per diem in a case like this.

Moreover, even though this sucks and personal things collected over a lifetime can never be replaced...I am very happy to hear that everyone is safe.  Keep us updated Don. God Bless.

Very well said and I feel your heated frustration here. I also wonder how the shooter gained access to the school. And why the FBI didn’t follow him closer after they were told he posted on YouTube last year that he wanted to be a “professional school shooter” and why no one was surprised that he did it. The whole If you see something Say something mantra was actually employed here but maybe not taken seriously???

My wife is a teacher at an elementary school. One day a local officer walked right in an open exterior door during school hours. The administration was reprimanded with a slap on the wrist.

There were a lot of issues at play here. Perhaps letting guard down was one. I understand that there are many people to watch, many people to follow up on and it takes time. But now there are 17 less to watch. To grow, to play, to marry, to know the love of having children of their own.

What is it going to take? These establishments of schools and churches are attacked by cowards because there is no deterrent. There must be more done  to make even the mentally disturbed think twice. I believe it should be so that retired military or police men and women should be given the opportunity to become a teacher or faculty in some capacity and be able to carry concealed and train the staff in house.  Public issuance of nomenclature on the subject should be announced that defensive measures are in place and tht “A” facility is fully qualified and capable of defending the occupants. Any show of hostility will be immediately met force.
