This has been around, but pertinent.
1. 792,000 dreamers are over 25 years old. (That’s 88% of the official number)
2. 900 dreamers serve or have served in our military. (That’s 0.11 percent)
3. 743,000 dreamers do not attend College or have a College Degree (That’s 82%)
4. 189,000 dreamers dropped out of High School early (That’s roughly 21%)
5. 9,000 + dreamers are incarcerated (That’s 1%)
6. 657,000 dreamers receive welfare and pay no taxes (That’s 73%) but all are eligible to receive medical support via Medicaid.
7. None have properly applied for or ever been awarded US citizenship? (That is 100% remain illegal immigrants)
So the question is: Exactly what positive impact are these Dreamers having on our communities and society? And, what is the media trying to prove by focusing on the few (less than 1 in 1000) who have tried to structure their lives around the American way?
