Looks fantastic Kyle!
We must be careful using 'done', as long as used loosely it works. Lol.

Done should be implied as a temporary state. I.e., qualified with "for now".

But yes, really happy with how it's turning out. Fun to tinker out there

Small project today, finished framing out the compressor room under the stairs. Framed the rough opening for a 36x80 door. Put a block in there too for air manifold, regulator, water separator, etc too

Also put a 2x12 block above where the island work bench will be to anchor the air line reel and extension cord reel

Next two weeks I have weds-sun off, and have some other projects I'm going to do. Going to be running the air lines, hanging some lights, maybe sheet and insulate the compressor room, and about million other things around the homestead

Not yet! Don't have a compressor :)

If I have to, I'll do a switched exhaust fan to the other side of the shop

I am using that kit in my garage.

Definitely don't want to rain on any parades, but that thing does not want to get straight. It is some sort of stiff vinyl and to this day wants to return to its coiled shape. Mine pulls off the wall routinely!

Be careful uncoiling it, as it will kink and tear easily. Next time i am going to purchase the straight blue tubing stuff which is considerably more money, but it looks much neater.

I'd suggest warming it up prior to laying it out. Clamp it like every 16" if you can...

Ya let us know how the install goes.  I just purchased two of those kits, Northern Tool had em on black Friday sale.  I can't figure out yet how to install the pipe in the wall and the outlet on the surface of the wall without a huge hole for the pipe to transition through.  But maybe you have a better solution that I am thinking of.

Yes, I was going to get black iron pipe to stub through the wall, and then into the manifolds

Sort of defeats the point of purchasing a "complete" kit.  But yes I can see how that would work.  Though you will need one of the expensive adapters to transition from blue pipe to steel at each outlet.  And that adds several potential leak points.  Which is kind of annoying.  But let's see how yours looks and I will either do the same, or just leave all the blue pipe exposed on the wall.

Shouldn't need any of the expensive connectors, will just match the size of the "adapter" that comes with the kit

It's straight forward and easy...no brainer. I mistakenly used cheapo nylon wall clips/clamps. Most of them failed during the first cold spell

Kyle, if you are running the supply line through the studs, and not attached to a finished wall you shouldn't have the problem Don had. You just need to support where the hard pipe comes through the wall to keep it in place. I would use "the stronger is better" approach in your case. Like a 2X4 between the studs with a strong bracket  to hold the line in place.

Exactly...The 1/2" electrical plastic conduit straps work well, but you need to use a flat head screw or roofing nail to retain and not pull through the hole

Correction to what I said...What Bob said. Going through the studs they are retained already. Good support for the end fittings...

Well here's a little update with today's progress. Let me first say this stuff is a pain in the ass to work with in 30 degree weather...

Here's the full kit

Then I got 1/2 black pipe for the stubs

Saw TRN's cousin at Home Depot

This is over where my work bench will be. Blocked for a retractable reel.

Gapped for 5/8 rock lid

Not gonna narrate the rest, too much effort lol

Here's how the manifolds will go once the walls are sheeted

Also, didn't snap any photo's, but i ran another 20 amp circuit to a receptacle above the work bench in the ceiling (another retractable reel), and the branched over to an elevated plug for TV/Stereo

Ok now I understand.  Thanks for the photos.  I didn't realize the aluminum outlet block was tapped in the rear also.  I thought you could only connect to the top.  So I was picturing two elbows, but you only need one.  That looks really good.

Small update... much more to come tomorrow.

For today, the sheer rockers finished up the lid and fire taped

And then I also started shortening up the cords for my lights. Got these 90* plugs at the local hardware store

Will look much cleaner this way flush mounted to the ceiling without 5 feet of cord coiled up

Also, didn't take a pic but mounted a light in the compressor room too

Also had about 20 other things I did today that are by no means newsworthy LOL
