Well, back at it, sorta.
I got sick working the last day I posted on the 21st. I am still sick today on the 29th. Tested neg for Covid but it feels like that. Can't breathe, so much mucus...
The bottom line is when you reach a point when the recovery just seems to need a bit of a jump start, a day's work can help.
So I pushed it.
No points on great work quality, and I was pretty slow, but I started in with the track saw bringing a sheet of ACX down to size.

Next, I cut that to size and made my first mistake, not leaving an extra 1" drip lip on the inside!

I cut the filler panel out of the scrap while I was at it.

Then starting with the tall cabinet. I started fastening it to the floor.Thenn I had to add a filler piece to make everything fit and line up. I screwed that to the cabinet, then the subsequent cabinet to it, and so forth.

Next, I created some interior framing to help secure the countertop. I have some nice Gerlock #8 flat head screws in various lengths that will capture the countertop from the underside, screwing through the flanges I have screwed and glued into the frame.

The large filler panel will be removable to access and service the faucet.

Next, I measured several times for the sink cutout, and actually got it right.

Here's the universal faucet head I'll be using. One big hole and that will be fitted.

I plan to mount that into the far corner of the sink to give me the most room. The tub is not all that big, so I gotta use what room I'll have. It's too late, but I should have built it deeper to allow for a bigger tub, but it is what I have made it to be, so...

Once I get the hole saw to fit that big boy, I'll pull the countertop off to add the backsplash and get some garage floor epoxy on it.

Nice work, Sink will be nice but got you some wasted storage room there too. Nothing a saw and a couple hinges won't fix.

I was just looking at that space too. A couple of cuts, a piano hinge and voila' a little cubby where I can store more spiders and mice!

Nice is what came to mind when I seen the open corner lol hell I hate them bastards!!

You say you are gonna do an epoxy top for the counter?

Why no get some galvy steel and wrap it… it won’t scratch, won’t rust, cost much less then the epoxy I’d assume.
Any local hvac guy worth his weight aught to be able to bend your framework up with easy.   Hell take the top off and tell him I want this wrapped can you do that?

That's an interesting idea, never thought of that.
Well, already purchased the epoxy.
and
I really just wanna get done with this. I still have some new lights to wire in, then finally can get back to installing that Clayton lift on the Jeep.
And
That's what I really want to be doing!

You can always cover it later. I would vote for stainless though. Sure it is more $$, but I have a couple galv. tops and they look like crap.

I'm treating this as a bunch of good suggestions. Too small a thing to put any more emphasis on than I have already. The thing will get epoxied like I planned and installed.
Speaking of all that, I drilled in the faucet and fitted all that.

With that, I pulled it back out and carried it over to the wood shop where I added a 2.5" tall black splash. Should be pretty strong. Only used glue and clamps, but when I pull all those clamps off, I think I'll drill it and add a few screws just in case.

I ripped a piece of 3/4 ACX for the side wall, then cut that down

and ripped a sheet of 3/4 MDF, or MWB (Medium welding board) and set that on the old work bench.

Then I got after painting everything which left just enough time to post up the work, shower, get a sandwich, pick up some more paint, and get to the Fire Department board meeting by 7.

After some more prep work, I gave it its first coat of epoxy and chips.

I thought I'd finish with a layer of clear epoxy over that.

That counter top would have looked best straight up white with the flecks, but the monee is spent...

I also coated the opposite work bench top.

Then I painted all the remaining trim and created a spacer for the upper left cabinet. That evens things out and gives me a surface to attach the side panel to.
Oh, JR, and I finished creating a door out of that lower panel. You were so right in thinking that. Afterward, I had that, "What was I thinking," moment. I mean it would have been a pain in the rear to chase a possible leak without it.

Here's the now cured top sitting in place for the initial fit-up. Surprisingly, It dropped right into place snugging up nicely to the walls and the cabinet.

After finding the drain, I dropped the sink in for a fitting. Again, I was short the water trap, and the supply hoses were a solid 12" too short, so off to the races again tomorrow.
I fitted the side panel screwing it to the floor, the lower cabinet, the countertop, and the upper cabinet.

The lower door provided good access (good idea JR)

The protrusion of the side panel was made that way to provide a lot of real estate to hang things from. That comes tomorrow and the organization begins.

I didn't take any pics, but I got most of it completed today.

I am still fighting those faucet supply lines. The spigot assembly that came with that tub has two lines protruding from the valve assembly. They are small lines and are too short to reach the supply spigots sticking out of the wall. I went to find some extension or something but came up with a whole lotta nothing.

Once I figure that out, I can silicone that tub into place, make the connections, and call this part of the project nearly complete.
Nearly complete because I have not trimmed around the metal because I haven't decided on how I was going to do that yet.

But I'm ready to clear up the bay and make it useful once again.

Got a little more done on this side of the garage yesterday.

I had a bunch of old license plates that were tacked up all over the place. Wanting to tidy up some I created this little piece of "garage art" which looks much better.

The old wooden roll-around table just won't die, so I decided to just give it another cleaning and coat of paint. First up, I stripped and repainted the old vise on there. Black IS NOT the color for a vise, but it's all I had on hand...Rustoleum Tractor paint, gloss black.

With this entry I completed Phase 1 of the Garage makeover. Phase 2 should be the installation of new lighting fixtures.

I did the second "artsy" thing adding pieces from all over in a collage of automotive stuff, mostly plates

Then I gave the old caster wheel table a good sanding then painted it with garage floor epoxy. I also went around and cleaned out the garage again to get it ready to be re-occupied

I really gooped that stuff on there, not caring if it dripped off the sides. I'll just come back and touch up with black paint afterward.

I mounted a paper towel holder as my last and final construction act of this part of the makeover.

Bob, you were right! That was a lot of work!

Whew

Awaiting right after I get the new lighting installed is the whole other end of the garage!!!!!!!

I’ll suggest you add a mirror of some type to the sink corner. I find going to the store with clean hands and a grease smudge on my face a distraction to the poor autozone working, they can’t seem to spit out what model motor your vehicle has when I have grease on my face.  Mirror helps for cleanin up before you get into a pickup that’s brand new
