Is the inner fender liner really not 100% coverage?
What about the flip in and jobs you had installed on the other trucks that seemed to sit under the spring or inside the spring pack?

So compared to the unit you had lined up before the DRW truck. How much wider is the purchased camper vs the one you had previously posted?
Good looking color combo with the truck colors

That tires size seems right I think mine were maybe a 255. I had real fun in the snow trying to hook up to the cargo trailer. Moving an inch back to catch the ball was a real treat. Even in 4x4 the truck would slide sideways instead of back in the pizza tires. I put new rubber on after and had zero issues

I don’t follow what you mean by roller skate look?
From history you usually go with a 18” wheel or I believe you had 16” on your gm truck
I’m not suggestion you mount up a set of 22” wheels. But facts is facts and picture is proof large wide tires on the stock wheels of 6” wide rim will provide poor tread pattern
This is my contact path with 65 psi ( recommended is 75psi) on a 305/75/17 tire
Of course it will do and I’ll suffer my consequences for my choices, there simply are not a lot of aftermarket wide wheel options that are in the smaller diameter -18” wheel

Dave, I am not into the big tire on the dually look. In fact I very much dislike it. I AM NOT going to wide tires as they serve no purpose on this truck. With my single rear-wheel Ram 3500, I wanted the typical larger footprint for limited off roading. Now that I have gone to a full-sized dually, I am tossing any notion of anything other than a two-track. This one will stay on dirt roads and cross mud puddles, nothing more. So All I'll do eventually is to toss on that Carli suspension I had before which is a level + 1" rear spacer and use either the stock size or one size larger tire, probably on stock rims.
Roller-skate look: It looks like a skateboard to me. Long and wide and low. I didn't like the look at the stealership, but I confess, it is warming up on me. Who knows, I may get to actually liking this truck!
That makes sense, I would like to drop tire size as well. It handles really well but I imp pretty sure it’s to much height lost for the fifthwheel. 285 tire I think gives enough rubber for ride quality and looks good as well. Only complaint I have in the DRW is getting into drive through windows. I now just walk into the bank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It will be interesting to follow the wear on them, considering those are less then half the cost, if you got half the life out of them it would equal out

I never run recommended. Air it down until you have full tread contact (mostly) I only air up when I need the load. Now this is just me, has worked OK for 50 years.
I run 50/45 in the dmax normal. I used to run 26 in my 77 GMC.
Can't wait for the fluid change!
If I lowered mine down that low for daily my inner and outer tire will contact, 2” spacer gave me a net of maybe 1” of space in between 10” wide tire is the ticket I’ll run these next time JR https://tiresize.com/tires/BFGoodrich/All-Terrain-TA-KO2-34X10.50R17.htmSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Curious how much of the Carli suspension stuff from the other rig would cross over? The shocks all the same, the front end linkage could be different but I doubt it. Don’t recall if the back had a block on it. Tire change will be interesting, 6.5” wheel width is the standard and there are about zero tire options in a 33”+ that is less then a 12” wide tire. Bfg does offer a 34” tall tire that’s 10 wide. I’ll be ordering those when the ones I put on are toast https://tiresize.com/tires/BFGoodrich/All-Terrain-TA-KO2-34X10.50R17.htmBut you might be on a 18” wheel maybe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just gonna leave this hear Then I’ll add a second for the sprinter van either self built or one of the many companies that build them out for you at a $$$ price tag. I like the dream of an in bed camper but in the end I can to the conclusion there simply isn’t enough space to justify the cost. If you plan to unload the camper to drive truck why not drop your trailer and drive truck, more room, less cost per sqft and have the same amenities. A 25’ bumper pull would rip behind your truck and still have a spot to put your motorcycle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have Foxes up front, added with the lift. Still running Bilstiens in the back. With 2" blocks they are right in the middle of travel.
Does that have a rear sway bar?
No sir, I don’t believe GM has added that, it appears to only be a dodge thing. The new 8.1l megamax dually might have one but not much information has been released and mostly speculation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I haven’t updated but I had some major Shock issues in the front end of the truck. First off the rough country shocks are trash. Might as well just put rubber bands on. So I ordered Bilstein for the whole unit. They only have two size option +1” or +4-6” I ordered both and one was two small and would limit my down travel, the other longer left me zero up travel. So after many of conversations I ordered fox shocks for the front only. The back shocks are the 4-6” longer and seem to have plenty of room for up and down. Anyway I look forward to my freeway drive tonight to the shooting range with one of the twins. No photo of the fox shock sorry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We have a few of the tool boxes that sit on bed rails. Very good quality units, we have installed one drawer system in the work Colorado truck, it seems like lots of wasted space to me, it’s water tight, it doesn’t rattle and it’s not very heavy. Again it seemed like good quality stuff. But I haven’t done anything but install that one, never so much as seen what the boss man put in it.

It looks and rides really great. Lots less wonder on the road maybe due to tire width compared to true stock 255’s.

Got the level/lift kit installed today. 40 inch to top of wheel well is now 42.75” Nothing to complicated. Rough country does a good job with instructions for install. New arms, new shocks, 2” block in the back. I still have room to turn the front up but not needed for tire size I’m installing. Ride is good, smooth, handles bumps well. Now for an alignment, wheel spacers and tires to be installed later this week if I have time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He's back!
I thought a hippie commune kidnapped you.
So, two things
Is that yellow tractor yours? I totally missed it if you mentioned it somewhere.
Second, so getting ready to lift the dually?
Definitely not suicided by any means. The yellow Peterbilt is not owned by me, if the chance comes to purchase I will gladly. It’s been my company truck for three years now. We replaced our End dump dirt trailer with a three axle 26ton capacity side dump trailer. Gross 88,000 pounds down the highway. Yes the dually is getting a face lift, I “need” (want) more bumper clearance for bigger rubber and dirt road capabilities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

From a very informed outdoors man This bear stocked my bosses group for 12 days while hunting moose. He Carrie’s a 10 mm and his only purpose to pull his hang gun was in hope one of the others in his party would take notice at his gun fire and shot him with an actual rifle, he doesn’t wear any bells and doesn’t bother with spray cans He’s got more outdoor experience then most I know. I’d trust it Two moose from the hunt. He wasn’t after grizzly but he found them in Alaska Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well just to add insult to being late to work today, I caught my trash can at the street on the way out, The good news is I have a dent repair guy who says $200 maybe less to fix The PPF did 100% protect my paint thankfully. So I should be relatively relaxed about how big of a jack ass I am. Took some adhesive remover and the paint still looks perfect just with some extra anti radar shape to it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I found Amazon a cheap place to order Dog tags, I then ordered a few “Mixed” “diesel”, “clear” tags then used some small 1/8” wire and cable crimps to permanently attach to my gas cans for the atv, dirtbikes, mowers. It made for an easy way to identify what’s in what, kids can read what’s on each can and I don’t mix or cross cans when using them for three different machines all using different fuel
