Mom sent me this today and thought I'd share.  Good place to learn about food preservation.

I also added some dried beans and rice to my food storage to compliment my mountain house freeze dried and MREs.  250lbs of beans and 250lbs of rice.  And 50lbs of salt.  Used Lowes and Home Depot buckets with mylar bags and oxygen absorbers.

Bought this to seal and it works great  two heat setting and has ridges in the heating elements which create a good seal.  Start at one end and slide towards the other and it make beautiful seals.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
