Its DANA heaven!

Watch the HF dolly. Mine are outdoors covered set up the same way but now are shaped like a U. Then the wheel broke on another and HF does not have replacements.

5858
There were like 3-4 pieces in those huge boxes. Total waist as it would fit into 1 box easy.

Does look nice though and moved it into the sub for now, less the springs.

Who is AT?  American Tire?

And I stand corrected, the wheels have a little lip

AT called and said come get these, they are in the way. How would that be?

5863
So the lift came in today. This is just a 4-6 NTBD from Cognito, front shocks and rear springs. Looks a little over packed as the one I sold fit into a box 1/3 that size.

Somehow limit straps got added?

Speaking of optics, I have been looking at thermal stuff. ATN seems to be the "go to" and now owned by flir. Pulsar gets better reviews.

So onto a diff subject I got this Lifetime cooler at Wally for $78. Looks vacuum formed vs roto molded and this is the 28qt, vs the 55.

I like the flat 1 handed latches and mostly flush sides less the handle. Handle is just OK being a rigid tube that can be folded either way and locks up. No drain either but for the size it is not a big deal, yet.

So I throw a 10lb bag of ice into it and 3 drinks (unchilled) to do the longevity test. Its around 65* at 1400 and I will open it up every day like you would when in use.

So 24hrs later it has about 1/2in water in it, and all the drinks are cold.

Lucky stiffs. My wife just loves it here, her cousin near Sac says paying more here is worth it (another Gov employee)

Just have them limo out the whole thing. Sucks at night sometimes using the outside mirrors is all, never use the middle anyway.

Yep, a lightbar across the lower part would be great and the straight ones a cheaper. Just got a 46 incher for $45 on fleebay.

Congrads on another grandchild. Hope I have many years before that.

Nice work for a driveway. Have to remember that for the burb, but not this driveway!

I like the work stands too. HF has some taller ones but those look about the right height. Is that HF impact too?

Don, That shelf came out nice but I have a small suggestion. Cover the back for 2 reasons;

It will look all cluttered from the outside with all the stuff in there tinted window or not.

It will be pushed on and tested, shearing is needed to keep it solid. Even just the bases and a couple compartments will help a lot.

Going to paint it grey right :likebutton:

Over the last few months.  I have found that there is nothing that sets me off faster than my boys yelling, screaming at my wife.

Any of you folks have a solution or suggestion?

Found this article interesting regarding the shackle flip and towing stability. You might already know all this, but I picked up some tidbits I didn’t know.

Post 11 covers what I was getting to.

I think a panhard rod would really help this issue as well as a sway with all that stuff up top!

Blind spot? They all have cameras now anyway. It was done to cut costs, one style=easier to produce.

I'm not arguing about the upgrade. I mean a fluid change is just that,,,,,

Funny but you talking to Dave about the shackle flip vs the blocks is why I went with new springs (deavers).

For towing and heavy loads the stock hanger setup has the advantage. Stock hangers will be more stable as the load is in tension and naturally stays stable. With a flip it is twisting on the rear hangers, shackles and there is a torsional load on everything. Still not a bad setup even for the heavy Sub. No blocks either is a plus.

OK, caught up now but you need to tell us a new thread is going!

Glad that is fired right up, all the parts work!

I agree on the comma and number stuff, was taught that writing reports and it just works.

That would be cool if those brakes work. I will still take a FF over the SF anytime, just the 9.5SF is not a bad rear if you have a 1/2 ton.

Just make sure the water has a way out where the garage and wall meet. That may need addressing like sealing and a French drain.

Yep, just stick with the 5.3. The 6.0 way over priced and hit from the rear could mean the driveshaft got pushed into the tcase.

So may parts for all the LS motors and a stand alone harness is easy to find.

More storage is always nice. To bad about the damage.

Sure the truck doesn't care about the pin with just that trailer but it does looks better.

AR would be much better I bet.
