2024 Chevrolet HD
« on: September 27, 2022, 11:46:31 AM »
Many of you may have gotten the same email from Chevy as I did. It shows details of the slightly modified 2024 HD trucks available sometime in the future from Chevy.
I like many of the features of the current HD trucks, but I could never get past that front end. It's all personal preference, of course, but for me I thought the double headlight arrangement that we currently have is awful. I actually ruled out owning a new truck just based on that. Don't know why, but it just didn't sit well with me.
Here's the new front end:

The interior and dash look pretty good as well. Looks like they picked up on the Silverado ZR2 setup

Apparently, there is a HD ZR2 coming, and the newest Duramax engine is upgraded to 975 ft lbs.

Well, that's just you
and
like I said
(Or maybe I didn't)
Each to his own. As long as we are still free, and perhaps even after we lose our essential freedoms, each is free to like what he/she wants to.
I'd think, though, S< that you'd like it. The new Chevy headlight arrangement seems to be a tribute to the Super Duty Fords, don't you think?
Speaking of the fords, I was driving past the NASCAR racetrack a few miles from my home. All of the back lots of which park thousands of cars are full of Ford SD trucks. So sad to see thousands of beautiful SD trucks just sitting there. I'll bet some have sat there for a couple of years now. I mean, can't we at least sell them to the military or to some poorer African nation? If so, I'll set up a buy of, say a hundred of them and we'll just ship some of them right back here to the US of A!

I can't get passed the payments my 06 has been paid off for several years. I like the money in my account earning interest in place of paying someone else interest. But as Don said each to their own

I'm with you there. I paid my 2011 off like 6 months after I bought it. Have used it ever since payment free, well except for the substantial tax I pay for it every year. Making payments just kills me, I do not like it at all. My habit is to always finance things, but then I try to pay them off quickly. I am changing, however. I think I may switch over to just paying cash at the purchase for now on and never have a payment. I know that if my plan to replace my Tesla in 4 years with a new Tesla works out, that purchase will be a cash one.

You either pay people to use their money or people pay you to use your money. It’s that easy.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
