OK, I decided to move on to a new truck

I will be selling my Duramax truck, the one that is written about here in the build threads

I'm still working up the price, so bear with me, but for now I have a list of the modifications I have made to it and the approximate cost of one doing those mods. Most show either my actual costs, or the cost of the parts and the labor, or a general estimate of what that item would cost (Best guess!)

I priced the 2016's power wagons and think it would be a good time to purchase one of those.

This truck really screams "Militia...Survivalist...

So it's a bit too over the top.

I think a stock PW for a driver, then SquareD for the real deal, and or any significant pulling.

Plus, I want to add a 12 or 24 valve dually for dedicated pulling to the stable.

Chevy really doesn't fit as well...

So, I'm a kind of an open guy.

Thinking out loud in the hopes of about making this all fair...

Most valuations I have consulted place the value of a stocker in the $35K ish range.

Then with the low mileage and great condition of all the parts, I'd place the value of the additional parts somewhere from 50%-75% of the cost. Considering I did most of the work, and in many cases the perspective owner would be contracting Schwab, tire discounters or someone to do the work, there is probably another 20K of labor that the normal guy would have to pay for.

SO I'd add in the $14,000-$21,000 to come up with the selling price.

I'd be OK in that range.

I prayed over this so if the money shows up, then I was supposed to sell it, if not, then I was supposed to keep it

I think I'll place my faith in practice here and let God decide what I should do!

So combat max should hit the auction block. Set a min, and everything above and beyond goes to charity of your choice. Get what you need out of it, drive it up and do some good with your gospel kitchen in OH or something like that. I bet you get what you're looking for that way. It needs a real sendoff.

I think the price is slightly high but like you said if you don't ask for it you won't get it.

IMO, I bet the truck does 40-41k at dealer only NW auction with the proper preparations and documentation present so dealers can see what they are actually getting.

The NW (where I am) is the strongest truck market in the US, with the huge influx of Canadian vehicles coming to auction a true US Truck is worth 5-8k more than said previous Canadian. 

Retail wise your truck is the perfect specimen, while it has a laundry list of modifications that most buyers are scared of you have the WHOLE thing documented and on the WEB for access by any potential buyers either private or resale.

While KBB and NADA say its worth 43-44 from a lending perspective, the truck can still be financed in excess of 50k. Assuming good credit and cash down. We all know there is far too much money floating around the US and this truck as it sits is someone else's wet dream. Complete with all the goodies.

Doesn't hurt to put it on Ebay with links to the build, gives the serious buyers background on it.

With all that useless commentary, if I can be of any help please ask. (dealer book values/car fax's)

Lots of miles? that's why the low miles upgrade to price. It isn't because all the mileage is being put on, well I can't remember now what he calls it as it has been so long since he posted anything about it.
