Don... slow cranking can also be a ground issue. Pretty common on these trucks. Just a thought...
I'll check that Norm. I installed several grounds if you recall, but who knows...?

^^^ Funny guys
Two members rejoined and sent $20. When I offered to return the funds, they donated it to the charity fund we have. I thank you folks and will apply the money to the next charity effort RM gets into.
I am not soliciting any money from anyone, for the record. I have complete faith in God to provide any and all funds I will ever need for this Real-Man thing. On a personal note, and speaking for all the moderators and indeed, members as well, we are all about the fellowship here and lifting up our brothers, and the ladies as well.

I ordered a new super motorad front fender for the bike which will steer better at speed on the highway, but allow some more mud to get digested by my face. I'll pull the existing fender when it shows up

Well, I'm not sure those Interstate batteries are holding a charge. The engine cranks slowly, not normally at all. I had them on a trickle charge for a couple days ever since I pulled them off Dawg's trailer!
And still no prime on the pump, so I'm going to reroute the lines tomorrow to see if I can get some fuel up to the engine.
With two solid failures to complete the task at hand, I decided to do something I knew would work out
The rear bumper liner Raptor stuff is so slick, it's a bit dangerous to stand on. SO I picked up some rubber tread and glued them down

Folks, We see that some annual memberships are set to expire soon. We will and are going through to extend those memberships and just make them all fully registered for at least 5 years.
I made a decision some time ago to just make this a free site. The expenses aren't all that great so I just pay for this out of my pocket. So, no need to send me any of your money, I am happy to provide this to all of you.
If you expire out just send an email, or go in and reregister, and Kyle or I will do something in the background to have your membership renew with no cost to you.

Our pastor informed us today that a Southern Baptist church in North Carolina has voted to allow same sex marriages to be held in their church.
Things are going to become very confusing from here on out. We are there and if anyone is paying attention the current Schemitah ends this month. God is on a 7 year calendar and from what I have been reading, wants us to pay attention as well. The last two times this cycle ended 2001, and 2008 were years of severe recession. This particular cycle ends a 70 year cycle of Jewish worship. Following this period which will end later this month is supposed to come a time of great tribulation. I can only guess what mechanism will cause us woe this time, but I know in October, the Chinese Yen is set to partially replace the US dollar as the worlds reserve currency.
THat event in itself will cause a great shift of money out of the US and into China. It will make our borrowing of money more difficult and could usher the total collapse of the dollar. Was all this engineered? I think that, yes it has. You might point to the super rich banksters, or the Bilderberg group, or social engineers like Soros, but I think Satan himself is behind all this, and all the big players are simply tools for the great deceiver.
If you aren't putting away, getting in shape, reading scripture and praying to get your life right, then ask yourself if you truly believe. Stand in front of a mirror and ask the person there if he is a fool?
This think is literally at our doorstep. Please pay attention.

It's 'awful late' to get prepared, warns Jim Bakker You have to take care of your family' and others There’s war in Ukraine and the Middle East. And persecution of Christians in the Holy Land and around the world. Even in the United States. Then there is a border crisis of “biblical” proportions in Europe. And the beginning of a new Shemitah cycle accompanying trouble in the American economy. Trouble looms on many fronts, but if you are just starting to prepare, says evangelist Jim Bakker, “You are awful late.” Bakker made the comment in a discussion with pastor, talk-show host and author Carl Gallups on “The Jim Bakker Show.” Gallups was discussing his new book, “Be Thou Prepared,” which shows Christians how to survive persecution and disaster. “I love it,” commented Bakker on Gallups’ ideas. “You have to take care of your family.” Gallups said it’s not just a good idea but a “God-given responsibility.” And the pastor believes preparation isn’t just about providing for those close to you – it’s about carrying out the Great Commission. “We make these preparations so that we might survive. We survive so that we may provide for our families, so that we might minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those around us, particularly those who haven’t prepared,” he said. “So if we’re sitting around worried about food and water and clothing and shelter and we’re scrounging and scrapping and scraping, we can’t minister to the neighbor next door, or to the person across the street or to the lost person down the road – or, to the world that’s going crazy because they thought we were a bunch of nuts until the time came when they don’t have anything, either.” Gallups advises Christians to “take care of your family first, but not in a selfish way.” The goal, said Gallups, is for you to have the “peace in your heart” so that on the “day when it all falls apart, you haven’t fallen apart.” The audience applauded as Gallups recounted how he ministered to his community after a hurricane. He was only able to do that, he said, because he was prepared. But as Gallups noted, preparedness isn’t just about natural disasters. It’s about responding to man-made tragedies, too. Bakker said the recent shooting at an African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, was part of a trend of churches under attack. Bakker also spoke of reports alleging terrorist infiltration of churches. Gallups urged people to reject paranoia but embrace preparedness, because the possibility of danger is always there. Gallups observed that the murderer in South Carolina was able to reload five times. Because the church was a “gun-free zone,” all victims could do was sit, huddled in fear. “That ain’t gonna happen at my church,” said Gallups. He especially was critical of Christians who claim they do not need to prepare because they think the world is ending soon. Gallups argues that preparedness isn’t just for apocalyptic scenarios but for events that are happening all the time around the world. “There’s coming a time called the Great Tribulation marked by the rise of the Antichrist. I understand the theology, I understand the eschatology; but let’s talk about life. If you’re in the deserts of Iraq watching your children’s heads get cut off and your daughters and wives raped, would you look at them and say, ‘Don’t worry, it’s going to get worse than that’? Right there in that moment, it doesn’t get any worse than that.” He condemned those who urge Christians to be complacent because “the rapture is coming.” “How arrogant is that! How arrogant is that! How godless is that!” he cried, as the crowd erupted in applause. Showing anguish about the eventual fate of those who remain unprepared and are told to remain unworried, Gallups said through gritted teeth, “Tell the Christians in Iraq that.” Or, he noted, Christians in China, North Korea or Sudan. According to Bakker, much of the world outside the United States is already in the midst of the Tribulation, with believers being beheaded, enslaved or even crucified. But Gallups says even Christians in America should be alert to the possibility of danger. “Christians sit here in America, and because we sit here, and Starbucks is over there and our favorite TV show is on tonight, pastor Jim [Bakker] comes along and says, ‘Look, just use your common sense and prepare, get some food, get some water purification products, get some power products, prepare for tough times, even if it’s a hurricane,’ and people call him crazy. People call me crazy. But it’s already happening all over the world to brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.” He explained Christians in the Middle East saw their lives fall apart in a matter of hours. “Those hundreds of thousands of Christians in the deserts of Iraq and the Middle East right now, tens of thousands of children who’ve been orphaned because their parents have been killed, those hundreds of thousands were dispossessed overnight! They were doctors and lawyers and business owners; they had homes and cars and bank accounts. Then ISIS came into those areas and said, ‘You leave by tomorrow or you get your heads cut off.’” Gallups noted believers were told they could not bring clothes, money or even their cars. “And they went in the desert, and a lot of them are still there. And now they are having to scrounge for the basics, the food, the water, the clothing, the shelter.” Gallups wondered how American Christians have thus far been spared. “Here in America, we’ve been so blessed,” he said. “I praise God and pray he continues some of those blessings. I don’t know how He can considering what we’ve done to Him and His Word.” He said not only can things get bad, they can do that quickly. “I’m telling you this as a pastor and former law-enforcement officer who lived through those scenarios. I know what I’m talking about.” Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2015/09/its-awful-late-to-get-prepared-warns-jim-bakker/#rmErlOtqy1DCrAzf.99

Nice looking tank! And nice welds!
You planning an auto or manual transfer? Don't remember if it was discussed before. Would be very nice to have that kind of on board supply, and like Norm said plan your stops. Not to mention in a get out of dodge situation, will drastically improve range.
Concur. Dan does some really nice work. His shop is out of this world with capability. Maybe he'll do this sort of thing for others as in a side business someday. Pickup tube, vent and filler will all be mounted on the top. Since I'll be using a draw straw, will use an electric transfer pump. I'll either run that to the filter feeding the engine as in a true tank #2, or just pump the fuel into the main tank, making this an auxiliary tank. Likely that will be most likely. Right after this thing runs and gets drivable.

Still working on Big-Red/Sarge as it is presently changing from one to the other, however Dan, my welder and fabricator friend sent me a pic of the custom fuel tank he built for Square D
Dan made the water/alchy tank which also acts as a frame stiffener in the back since it's made from .250 aluminum with .500" thick mounting straps.
This tank was measured out to fit just under the bed rails and tie into both the floor and the steel halo on top of the bed. I think it is in the mid 60 gallon size range.
Nice welds!

I have thought a lot about this and find that I support what she is doing for the same reasons as TRN mentioned. We only know the (facts) that have come out in the media, not necessarily all of the facts or the truth. This woman was not elected to a federal position but a local one and swore to uphold the laws of the state and locality. I am not positive but think that in Kentucky, the laws says marriage is between a man and a woman. Activist Federal Judges making law instead of reading and applying the meaning of it according to the constitution didn't change the law in Kentucky. I think that she is following her oath. Written law needs to be applied fairly, not selectively.
God doesn't change and wrong is wrong. We are called to obey the law and follow leaders until there is conflict with the Word of God. We must each think for ourselves and determine our course of action. The time is coming for civil disobedience, which is what she is doing. We each experience different things in our lives. As we pray and seek God's will, we must determine what actions he wants us to take and execute. We can't save anyone. Our task is to be obedient to Him and tell people about Jesus. You can't argue anyone into heaven. They must accept or reject Him on their own. They will be judged by God as will you. Each according to the decision that you make to accept or reject Jesus.
You are correct Matt Kentucky law, our constitution states "Between a man and a woman" Note: To Matt's commentary. He is correct about what we should do. For non believers, know that there is only one sin which will not be forgiven by God And that is Not accepting his son as your Lord and Savior. The ONLY way out of hell is to go to heaven The only way to get to heaven is through the forgiveness of your sins The only way your sins can be forgiven...The only way Is to accept that Jesus died to pay with his life for your sin. Either accept Jesus as your one true lord and savior, or someday die then go to hell.

On batteries, I learned something about heavy equipment batteries
They are about the same chemically and have the same plates as automotive batteries.
However
The plates are epoxied to the case at the bottom and the top
So that jarring about won't cause two plates to touch, thus shorting out the operation.
FYI
